I'm neither an employee nor did I get sponsored lol, but I really do like recommending things to pepople that I genuinely like. I also think its important to support the underdogs in different markets, and I do feel like Vivaldi is one of them atm. But since you mentioned you dont like ads and i can't help myself to promote; Vivaldi has built in Trackers and ad-blocking, otherwise Ublock and NextDNS are you friends <3

Yeah I also don’t want my folks to have to “ignore” the warnings either. So will defo have the https set up before giving them access.

Yeah I do not have a domain. I did before but for some reason i struggled to wrap my head around reverse proxies and domains. And I prefer to not have to pay for yet another service as I'm just a student :P

I know it's not quite what you're asking for, but it's where I get my gaming news from at least. I have subbed to SkillUp on YT for a very long time, and he covers loads of games and does weekly news videos where he covers the latest. The vids are very genuine and authentic, imo.

He, and a few of his friends also started a very chill and good podcast called Friends Per Second going more in depth on different gaming topics.
