  • There's a lot of Americans that need to take note of the language. They're saying "united states" not trump. I see so many Americans sitting there thinking trumps actions only affect trump and once someone new comes in things will go back to normal. This will be held against America for a long time.

  • A lot of the tasks ai is doing are process issues. If the worker needs ai to filter a report for to much jargon people need to write more concise reports. There now we've saved time for the readers and the writer. For the replying to emails with "personalised" job advice. Thats gross, I dont think its ethical for government workers to give ai responses to people who are desperately seeking employment.

All kinds of things can motivate workers to care more about their job and thus work harder. Stuff like saying if you finish your work you can go home early (this would net me 4 hours of productivity each day). Things like performance based compensation. Shorter work weeks. Less commute time. Better work environment. Im sure many people could find an extra 26mins in there day if they wanted to.

Also keep in mind this is a self reported study. It feels productive when ai writes you an email but sometimes you fluff around with ai and you could have just written it 20s.

  • Reading that reddit comment section was depressing. Seeing people making excuses and saying just dont buy them. Redditors are way above the general player base in terms of awareness. Became they can actually have long form structured discussion about the state of the game. Even then the response is still "this sucks and its kind of greedy".

Seeing the things people put up with is blackpilling. It actually spreads over the whole industry. I wish I hated technology and gaming so I wouldn't care watching it be farmed by corporations.

  • 26mins seems within the margin of error. You could get at least an extra 26 mins of productivity out of someone in plenty of different ways.

  • Yeah thats what I was trying to add with my reply. Ms is only better because its had 1000x the funding. But even with that funding its not 1000x better its only slightly better. This is a perfect time to fund alternatives and take away Microsofts monopoly.

  • Look if you're struggling with ms office in this day and age idk what to tell ya. You might be cooked.

  • I hate microsoft as much as the next guy but their office suite is best in class. Its far better funded which makes it so surprising that the other suites arent to far behind. I think with proper funding other suites can get to a point where it makes sense to switch to them.

  • Majority of platforms do this but reddit and YouTube are very trigger happy on this.

  • The project near me has peep holes at child and adult height so you can look into the site and see what's going on. Its pretty cool. There is also an explanation of the project and interesting facts about it.

  • That cat has had enough salami.

  • Nah. My security is entirely based on vibes and gambling

  • SteamOS on desktop is not a supported use case. SteamOS is not windows.

  • I told my sister she can use an adblock to block ads while she's browsing. She said "why would i want to do that, ads show me what to buy" she loves personalised ads and the idea that all her interests are being track so she can be served relevant ads.

  • This is going to be my goto example of why people need to care about data privacy. This is fucking insane. I'd fire someone for even throwing that out as a suggestion.

  • I haven't looked into it. Is there any consensus on Epstein's death besides meme consensus? Has anything been released?

  • Design has changed. Instead of building powerful featues that are available to the user however they want to use it. The focus has shifted to providing a simplified linear interface where pressing a single button does the task and the tools to modify the action are hidden from the user. So if your use case doesnt 100% allign youre fucked.

  • Technology connections is so good. I watched a video and wanted to share it but peoples response was always "I'm not fucking watching an hour video on how a dishwasher works" I say but thats the shorten version

  • Power toys is so bad now. Almost all the features are completely useless and it hogs a ton of system resources.

  • Thats such a dog move. You could have gone there and asked for food.
