  • To me, Kbin isn't really ready to be used by the average person. I get a lot of error messages and many communities are missing, no matter which Kbin instance I choose. I'll move to Kbin when it's a little more fleshed out. For now, I'll stick to Lemmy.

  • I don't think that bots that post news articles are really an issue, as long as users aren't allowed repost the same article multiple times. The articles are going to get posted eventually. Bots can be more efficient at quickly posting breaking news.

My issue is more with bots that post comments pretending to be users; bots that steal content from other users; and bots that repost old content. These are the types of bots that negatively affect the user experience.

  • Then 2023 has got to be a pretty good year for you too, with the releases of Final Fantasy 16, Baldur's Gate 3, and Diablo 4. I have enjoying Diablo 4 and am really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3 (I haven't played the early-access).

  • Me, personally? Fuck no. I'm perfectly happy staying on this planet for the entirety of my life. Space travel is too risky, and I don't really see how going to space would make my life any better. I will leave space exploration to people that are smarter and more adventurous than myself.

Lemmy.world was having some technical issues, so I decided to make the move to midwest.social. I'm really liking it here so far. What I like most about Lemmy is actually being able to have conversations, rather than having my comments get buried in thousands of other comments.
