  • It's not part of Android and not even made by Google

  • I do the same. In case someone wants to know how it works with an Android phone, you connect your phone to your PC over USB and then you get a notification on your phone that says something like "Charging over USB". If you tap on that, you can change the connection mode and one of the modes is "USB tethering". If you select that, your PC will have an internet connection over the USB connection to your phone. It's kinda like hotspot over USB.

  • No, people go on the distrowatch website, see mx linux at the top and wonder what it is because it seems to be popular but they've never heard of it, so they click on it, which boosts the ranking and makes it remain at the top. A website can't change your browser's start page.

  • No, I just stated that that's what I think. You're free to think that all Linux desktops look ugly but ir's not a fact.

  • On Linux there's also Celluloid, which is basically a GTK GUI for MPV

  • Really? I looked at prices of used EVs recently and was dissappointed at how expensive they were. I would have liked to be able to afford one as a first car.

  • I use it a lot when I'm on the go because it's just very quick and easy. I also contribute to OSM normally using my PC or Laptop.

  • I think people just realized that Tesla's aren't that great. They're not build well, simple repairs cost a fortune and for the same price you get better vehicles from other manufacturers, especially from ones in China.

  • You can also literally tell from the cover what kind of show it's going to be 😭

  • Absolutely. First few episodes, especially the first one, were actually really fun but I dropped it somewhere at the beginning of season 2 because it was just boring. It kinda felt like it just kept getting worse episode by episode.

  • Maybe you just have a faster phone than me or your phone has hardware decoding for AV1

  • Ok and I disagree. Aside from Android, I think GNOME is the best looking OS/desktop in general. Don't act like your opinion is the universal truth.

  • Hell no, even the servers are vaping now 😭

  • That's just personal preference tho. I don't personally like it either but that's part of the reason I use GNOME, I think that looks absolutely great. Great thing about Linux is that you don't have to use KDE Plasma or GNOME or whatever other DE, you can choose what you like the most.

  • On my phone the difference is literally the video being unwatchably slow with Google's AV1 decoder and perfectly fine with VLC's

  • For rythm games like osu!, Linux is definitely better than Windows. Audio latency is pretty important there and Pipewire has insanely low latency.

  • I read somewhere that it should be checked because it can cause issues on Linux otherwise

  • That's weird, I never had issues either. Did you check the box at the beginning so it doesn't use more than 4gb RAM?

  • "Our service is totally different from the rest! The others are free but ours you have to pay for."
