  • I don't see how saying "What's with all the anti Maduro sentiments getting censored" would violate instance rules.

  • Here's the abc media bias fact checker:

They're fairly even keeled but they do still have all the failings of other main stream media. If 1 is left and ten is right (under US focused understanding) I'd probably say they're a 3.5-4.5.

Not talking about any local affiliates. IMO local affiliates tend to be better than national.

  • Haven't checked the actual mod logs but there's a glitch w/ Boost that lets you read removed comments. One was a statement on how many down votes a comment had at a particular time.

Another called people who downvoted him ideologues and compared them to redditors. Which I can see being a violation of rule 1, although it wasn't targeted at any single person and the worst insult thrown was him calling people redditors.

  • He's referencing Gaige Grosskreutz who had a Glock. Anthony Huber was the one who attempted to use a skateboard as a bludgeon. Joseph Rosenbaum attempted to take Rittenhouse's rifle after he had tried to distance himself.

Grosskreutz was hit in the arm and testified to aiming his pistol at Rittenhouse during the televised trial.

  • NGL my first impression was no sarcasm because of the lack of s/. I thought Lemmygrad just had another leak.

  • I think most of this is attributable more so to the abolition of serfdom and the industrial revolution than the communist one. The US also had those improve during the same period too.

  • An ex employee of his got accused of being in a minor's DMs.

  • The result has been recognised by Venezuelan allies China, Russia and Iran.

The three countries most well known for their open and fair democratic processes.

  • No American court is going to hold an American company who fired (presumably) an American who (presumably) works on American soil liable under that. You'd be better off looking for local statutes that offer protections.

  • I think hanging w/ long noose is probably one of the more humane ways. Instant CNS damage.

  • Trump may be a very poor candidate, but he didn't kill 13 million people.

  • I don't think people 20+ years from now will instantly jump to Trump when they hear Donald. Just like how if you meet George you don't think of Bush.

  • Assuming dissenting opinions are all bots isn't a good path forwards. Some people will disagree with you. Some with me. But on matters of opinion. Also who the hell would bother to bot this niche site/fediverse.

  • There's also the question of how a law that would criminalize an enumerated power could be constitutional as applied as. That'd be voiding the Constitution by statute rather than amendment.

Which would require the president to sign off on but could be weaponized against an incoming president if one party has the legislature and executive.

  • Jefferson did write he wanted it remade every ~20 years. But that was a personal belief of his not the general understanding when the constitution was adopted.

  • I was making the point on the notion that we might be alone in that vs animals. If you don't distinguish man from other animals, why would you assume that they couldn't?
