  • The other day I saw a Developer that was sad people don't like the new Fable commercial. I was interested so I watched it and it's some Mulan/Captain Marvel cookie cutter plot where the entire commercial is some dude singing the praises for a random woman (presumably the playable character), and then an evil smoky hand holding an evil wizard staff appears on screen for like 2 seconds. For all we know that female MC could be literally Hitler, we were told absolutely nothing about the game, setting, or characters except that the narrator is a retired hero. They have no depth or motivations.

Hopefully it was just a damn awful trailer and not the death of the series.

  • There are a lot of articles like this one lately saying Gamers don't appreciate the products we're given and that we complain too much. Those companies. All of them. Manor Lords is still Early Access on steam. If the developer can't be bothered to develop his unfinished game while taking our money then that's on him, not us.

  • If it saved this country from itself, I'd be willing for Biden to be chained and whipped in the oval office. We're not deciding whats best for an 81 year old man, we're deciding for the entire nation and even the international community especially with NATO on the line.

If we elect the 79 year old instead of the 81 year old, social security is going to get cut and ruin lives for millions of people over 65.

    1. Congress passing a constitutional amendment takes priority over court decisions, but there are cases in the past where state laws contradiction federal laws allowed a court ruling to have more power over enforcement such as the 15th Amendment.
    2. Impeachment of justices by Congress, this was the intentional method of reeling in a rogue SCOTUS, TBH I think that step should even come first but there is no reason not to work on both simultaneously.
  • One could argue that the USSR as a dictatorship is not much different than modern Russia as a dictatorship, and that claims of communism contradict the reality of the Stalin era, but there are certainly a lot of nuance that I'm avoiding with such a statement.

  • Somebody could be injured or die between vehicles if trucks pull each other in a crowded lot or wires/rope/straps suddenly become tensioned. Somebody could also be injured by walking into these, or it could damage another vehicle. Ethics and morality are a spectrum, one bad can be more good than another.

  • It would be much less dangerous and more ethical to just steal all the hitches. It looks like only a couple of them are locked, but they're combination bike locks which should be easy to bypass if the core is exposed through the cylinder.

  • I don't like apple but due to the heavy nuance of this situation I approve of this action. It would have been better for them to develop and distribute their own methods of secure authentication but I realize a for profit company would never agree to that.
