  • I have the experience. Close friends consumed by the alt-rightosphere. These are (arguable were) caring people who'd stop and help strangers stranded on side of the road. People I considered like minded. But now it's "Democrats are pedophiles, Clinton flew with Epstein and here's how the election was stolen" (the irony is not lost on me).

Trying to discuss this constructively just doesn't work. It always ends with 😡👉"Your information is wrong and you're being brainwashed"👈😔 you can show them all of the stuff but their eyes glaze over and they're just thinking about how to find an article that either: Spins how the negative thing is actually good or just outright false.

  • This is the faux-progressive version of "Did he say Thank You?"

Edit: maybe I misconstrued your sentiment. In the linked clip, he did not talk about the bombing of Yemen, only Trump feigning (or legitimately claiming, although I doubt it) ignorance.

  • tinfoils maybe Usha thinks "they'll" kill her in Greenland to start a war between the US and Greenland so she's taking her husband as insurance that won't happen.

Untinfoils most likely she knows they're hated and doesn't want to face the unwantedness/hostility/embarassment of going where she's unwanted.

  • I think it's just the propaganda machine being efficient. All the major social media platforms are owned by billionaires (except blue sky but not sure there's nearly as many users compared to twit/meta/reddit) and they're manipulated to push the interests of the elites.

  • On your last point, I don't think Dems could've done anything different. They're clearly in Israel pockets and they can't disobey their corporate overlords and run on a more progressive agenda. Only other option was to try hard to get the "centrists". Incredibly disappointing as they would rather lose and go hard fascist rather than let their donors lose any money (how's that stock market looking?).

  • As a person? Yes

As a politician? Arguably no since he's not the one making decisions.

Hes so very clearly nothing but a figure head. His boss in Russia, the heritage foundation and their billionaire backers are commanding him. The fuckin guy was told to shut up by a child, in the white house while Elon was behind the desk answering questions. I think part of the game plan is to make America look as dumb/inept as possible and it is working beautifully.
