  • A “person” isn’t always a human. I care about humans, not whatever our current legal system calls a “person.”

Things are declared "persons" to confer them rights. Person in the OP wants a thing to be conferred rights but still own the profit gleaned from its labor (to the exclusion I should add of the rest of humanity).

Fuck the person in the screen cap.

  • Again, we’re talking about using technology to make human lives better.

No, we are talking about a private individual owning persons and profiting off their labor.

  • I think they meant a “legal person,”

And I think the kind of asshole who makes a pronoun joke is pining to benefit from enslavement.

Regardless, they clearly desire to reap where others sowed which is dickish.

  • No, I think it’s weird you’re equating slavery with using software and machinery

Guy in the OP is the one who said they wished AI would be declared "person"s so they could adopt own them and profit off their labor while sipping drinks.

  • Think you may have replied to the wrong post, buddy.

  • I'd like to see an LLM get clear and non-conflicting requirements from a customer.

    Are you "a people person"?

  • Clearly dude is just making a joke.

    The one.

  • S..slavery?

Replace "latte" with "mint julep" and the fantasy you're describing is being a plantation slaver.

  • Are you falsely claiming if those mean ol' KDP hadn't punched Hans over there in the face the Nazis wouldn't have burned the Reichstag?

Because taken to end you would seem to be arguing for more violence, and 1945 has some followup questions for you.

  • The street fights in 1932 did not do much to prevent fascism, to say the least.

    Yes they did.

  • Enforcing your preferred kind of politics with guns sounds like a bad idea. I’m German, we did that a few times in our history.

Yeah, and people with guns fucking stopped you.

  • I have not the slightest idea what this has to do with cybersecurity. INFERNUM1488 seems to be some russian social media account.

I don't know either, but Infernum is apparently a pioneer of "national socialist black metal" and the numbers are such a common hate slogan I won't even bother linking its wikipedia.

    Fuck this fascist scum.

  • You can be pro life and still see that those policies are needlessly cruel.

    "pro-life" is those policies.

  • with facebook involved? I feel a mistake is way more unlikely

Really, you don't feel (correctly) open evil is the most probably scenario when zuck's involved?

  • a good chunk of people would sooner not talk to you, rather than move a finger to change their ways.

That sounds like a problem that solves itself, and not a reason to put up with any fuckshit whatever from meta.

  • Are there any alternatives?

    To sport? Try musical theatre.

  • How does one connect to users on WhatsApp and Messenger from outside of Meta?

You mail them a fucking letter saying, "Leave meta."

You call them on the phone and say, "Leave meta."

You visit them in person and say, "Leave meta."

Hack into a defunct spy satellite and carve "LEAVE META" in the countryside using its lasers.

People exist outside of meta. They breath, they eat, they shit. Find that pile of meat that exists outside of zuck's servers and get a message to it.
Shit, how did people communicate before facebook?

  • If a company has decided to use reddit as the only way to get real support you have 2 choices: use reddit or stop using the product.

If you use a product who would force the use of reddit to get support you have made the wrong one.

    Make a reddit account

    No, don't.

  • Users need the ability to connect to most other users

They can leave meta and do that right now.
