  • There were some really toxic ones used in early supercomputer days.

Mineral oil is nonconductive. Some people even do aquarium builds with the whole mobo and gpu immersed in mineral oil. I don't think mineral oil is used in loop coolers though.

  • Thanks for the detailed response. I intentially dehumidify our living spaces so I don't think I have a spot that would match your stated requirements for the time being. I will definitely bookmark your comment in case my dreams of installing a greenhouse come to fruition in the next couple years.

  • Could vanilla orchids do well as a houseplant? I'm zone 7b/8a so I've had success playing around with semi tropical plants, but I don't have greenhouse space to overwinter frost intolerant plants.

  • The wording isn't exactly clear, but it doesn't say what you think it does. Alaska approved ranked choice voting and open primaries in 2020. Leman was part of Yes on 2 which was an effort to repeal RCV and go back to closed primaries. Outside groups helped fund the opposition campaign to say no to the repeal. The group trying to enact the repeal raised very little funding. So what he said isn't contradicted by the numbers presented.

I'm dissapointed that there seems to be so much impetus to go back to first past the post in Alaska. That might slow down efforts elsewhere in pushing for RCV.

  • Why would they bother making an xbox layout when they've already gone through the effort of making the xbox controllers compatible with games? What advantage would that have over just using an actual xbox controller or one of the numerous generics?

  • Not quite. Although the "losing bid" here was of a higher payment amount. However, the trustee chose the onion bid because the families who are owed assets out of the settlement were willing to forgo some of the payments they are owed to back the onion bid. That would lead to more being paid back to Jone's creditors than with the straight cash bid.

So it is a bit of a unique situation and the court is right to verify that the trustee made the right call. Ultimately the onion bid should be the winner since bankruptcy proceedings should prioritize paying creditors.

  • I think someone ran the image through an ai upscaler. The textures on the rails an stuff are too smooth and the edges are overly sharpened.

My samsung phone does this level of overprocessing when taking pictures and I wish I could figure out how to turn that off.

I think the second pinky is actually a white line in the rock.
