  • This is what I came here to ask, I specifically was looking for Deftones in the horny section and when I didn't see it I assumed Deftones was excluded.

Imagine my surprise when it's all the way on the angry side.

All the songs are Chino moaning into the mic, make it make sense.

  • 6, which I guess is pretty similar to my pick for number 5 on the pen post. Looks like the weight and style would feel best in my hand. Sadly none of them have my favorite feature of having fairly long and good quality erasers on it like my current favorite (non imported) mechanical pencil. Can't remember the name off the top of my head

  • Acorns!

  • Genuine questions for the purpose of discussion: should photos of spiders also be marked as NSFW for arachnophobia? What other phobias should and shouldn't be considered in this?

I do not have any genuine phobias, so I concede that I'm speaking out of my limited knowledge coming only from years of solo and group therapy for other issues, but NSFW tags are intended to block images that you wouldn't want your boss (or mom, or general public) to see you looking at due to them being sexual or otherwise inappropriate. There are a lot of things that are going to trigger phobias and other very difficult feelings for a lot of people, but I don't think it's feasible to ask that everyone accommodate all possibilities when posting images or sharing stories. I think it's a positive thing to tag content warnings in bodies of text, for example, and at the same time I think that a person that can have an extreme reaction to what is otherwise an innocuous image due to a personal issue needs to take responsibility for it.

I hope this doesn't come across as minimizing the very real struggles that people with phobias have to deal with on a daily basis, and as a whole I support making public spaces more accessible.

ETA: my understanding of a phobia is having an irrational fear so severe that it causes very real and disruptive anxiety and panic upon being exposed to the phobia. If seeing an image like this causes you discomfort or unease, but doesn't really affect you severely or impact your life negatively, is that really a phobia?

  • Oh when that happens my heart sinks and I pretend it didn't happen so I have an amorphously-shaped yolk that's considerably less runny than the other one (my go-to is two sunny side eggs)

  • I was honestly really surprised and proud of my boomer, right leaning father coming to me and talking to me about his support for Luigi and hatred of these private health CEOs. To be fair were Canadian, but even he's experienced enough difficulty getting access to good health care that he understands just how evil these corporations are.

  • The thing is, I don't doubt there is an actual reason why these plans have some more intelligent purpose behind them; I doubt that Trump is the one thinking of this. I'm of the belief that Trump has a bunch of yes men around him that are smart and able to coerce him to do these things through careful manipulation strategies and feeding into his ego.

  • I would have loved to vote NDP but in my riding there just isn't much support for them. It's nice to see so many seats go NDP in the province, but it's disheartening losing to PC once again even after they've shown no regard for (what I believe and hope are) the municipality's values. It was at least close between PC and LIB which is the best I can say. But unfortunately, if a large portion of NDP voters voted LIB, they'd have actually won.

    Shame.
