  • Definitely explainable by mere coincidence, and only really a little strange but in the interest of contributing more content to Lemmy:

In 2015 I had a dream that I met with Markiplier in person. I don't remember the details of anything, but I remember him extremely distraught, crying, like someone had died and me trying my hardest to console him. The very next day he posted the video talking about his friend Daniel Kyre's passing. Im certain there was no post or anything that I saw regarding this before seeing that video.

I had very frequent nightmares and also watched a lot of Markiplier at the time, so it's really just a timing coincidence.

  • Thanks for the info!

The aesthetics, acting, and writing seemed to take an immense dive; I was half convinced I wasn't even watching the same show. By the time I started s2e2 I had already googled and found out that it wasn't just me and that it doesnt get better (I tend not to search ahead of time to avoid spoilers). What a disappointment. I really liked the detective noir thing.

I might have to check out the novels.

  • Huh, I just considered I don't have a typical pocket I put my phone in. I'm right handed and I think I tend to put my phone in my left pocket more? Maybe? But I just took it out of my right pocket so I'm not sure.

  • BPD is becoming increasingly more treatable and less therapists have the opinion that you stated here. It's just that CBT, the traditionally used approach, is not the most effective solution. It's DBT that is effective for BPD. As the commenter below you said, mindfulness has been great for them, and that's a core part of BPD. I don't have BPD but my diagnosis includes "traits of BPD" on my chart and I thought therapy didn't work for me until I went to a specifically DBT-focused skills group.

  • Colors are such a subjective experience! I would definitely classify salmon as pink, but now that you say it I can see why another person might classify it as orange. It would never have occured to me naturally though.

    Isn't that cool?

  • Yes, I'm aware of that. I would think that you still wouldn't get those colors to look like that with saturated film if you didn't also have the correct weather conditions for things to look naturally bright and colorful in real life as well. It's a combination of saturated film and correct lighting and weather conditions that produced the result

ETA: Although yes reading back on the comment chain you're right, it wouldn't like so saturated as it does in the photo in real life. Though I have had the conditions be just right to where it gets close to that.
