I know that and I'm happy that there is so much to choose from these days, simply because distribution isn't a big issue anymore. The indie scene has never been in a better place.
It's a nostalgia thing. Plus, I'm against the whole "exclusivity" thing. And a bunch of other reasons, but it hardly matters.
Sometimes you just need to vent your disappointment, you know?
Yet, some of the most anticipated titles released are streamlined, soulless and boring. Every edge has been rounded off to such a degree, it makes Disney look gory.
Working in entertainment is privileged. It's not a job you just happen to end up with by accident. Most people are there because they want to be there.
And yes, the shitty mega corporations will use that against you. And yes, again, your small indie company can get purchased and suddenly your boss is the shitty mega corp. But you have a choice even then. Try to get out on your own terms or stick around until it's time to cut the fat and get fired.
You can think I'm a dick all you want. I have my principles and I live by them. I have taken jobs most people don't even know exist, because they can't even imagine themselves in a position that would ever warrant something like it. And I've quit jobs for less than how game developers get treated. I don't care what I do, I care about who I work for and how they treat the people around them.
You can rationalize your way to exclude all but a last answer, there by making it the right answer.
Like, seeing as there are two 25% options, so there aren't four different answers, which means there isn't a 25% chance. This lead to there only being two options left 50% or 60%. This would seem to make 50% the right answer, but it's not, because you know the options, so it's not random, which in turn means you're not guessing. So you have more that 50% chance of choosing the right answer. So 60% is the closest to a right answer, by bullshitting and gaslighting yourself into thinking you solved question.
Even the Devs out of a job isn't necessarily something you should concern yourself too much with.
Games development is a fairly privileged job to have and for the Devs working for big dubious companies..? Let's not pretend like they didn't know who they worked for, what they worked on and what the personal risks attached were.
This cannot have been made by anyone with legibility in mind.
Small black text, straight down the middle on a colored shirt..? Come on, I'm not a designer by any means, but even I know that if you go black text on a colored background, you highlight it with some borders.
Secondly, text that small? You can go bigger. Or you make it wider, from pit to pit across the chest.
Again. Just don't get a cat.
