  • Paying definitely is a turn off.

But when I hear about all the catfishing going on in the dating scene, suddenly prostitution comes of as the more honest solution.

But each to their own. Personally, I don't do either. I've grown content with my lot in life.

  • I think you'd be closer to the truth if you had said 'Onlyfans'.

A surprising amount of people turn to prostitutes just to alleviate loneliness. To have someone show a bit of interest in them for a while.

  • Learn to Cook 3 or 4 different meals extremely well.

Not only is it good for your own health (mental & physical), but it will leave a great impression on others.

  • All the more reason to keep it "quite" and expansive like the first game.

BZ was so noisy and tiny. That, combined with other players would be terrible.

I think OG Subnautica could be fun with a Co-op mode. But any more players than that would ruin it.

  • Which is the same as 'lemmy funny.'

    Let's not kid ourselves.

  • As with most people.

  • To be honest, after hearing all the mainstream simping for Metallica over the passed 40 years, I'd welcome even Babymetal getting an award.

Mind you, I have nothing against Metallica. But god damn, I have grown tired of hearing about the old farts of the "Big Four."

  • Asian? I've only heard of acid throwing from the middel eastern parts of the world. That and lighting people on fire.

  • Damned male mice and their cheese privilege

  • "Doomsday Scenario" might be a bit much as a descriptor. XD

And yes, be it Nintendo, Sony, EGS or whatever, it's the same deal. The biggest difference is simply that MS is so big that it not even close to a risk for them. As long as Xbox's income evens out to zero and they aren't actively losing money, it's "a win" and they can easily make up for it and add to it until it starts making money. But it already does, so...

A juggernaut that size is hard to contend with and usually gets it's way.

It will be interesting to see how many of InXile, Obsidian, Bethesda and ActivisionBlizzards future games will be Windows Store and Xbox exclusives. (timed or otherwise.) They are the new bargaining chips after all.

  • Palworld isn't a MS Exclusive and the studios they bought haven't churned out anything of note, yet. So it makes sense there hasn't been any inclination of sudden growth in subscriptions.

But as I said, it's a long con. The plan remains the same, get Game Pass into as many homes as possible. Let subscription become the new standard. It's Microsoft after all, their track record speaks for itself.

You don't have to agree with me, time will tell if it works out for them or not. But as for my part, I'm still actively against it and will stick to my guns about "Subscription Services and Storefront Exclusivity" being a no go.

  • Both yes and no. Epic hasn't gotten anything out of their attempt. Xbox is another matter, they are still trying. It was more or less the point of buying all those developer studios. They are just not rushing it. But yeah, the plan is to get the Game Pass concept to a certain point of normalization. Which they're quite close to achieving.

  • Personally, I'd say anything on PC that goes Storefront Exclusive or require a Subscription to play is an automatic "no go."

And MS leans quite a bit on both of those concepts.

But alas, the rest of the world seems to be of a differente mind. So eventually everything not indie will likely go down that road.

  • That's a good question. I'm very 'mood based' when it comes to music and few songs hit the same at any given time.

    But maybe 'Huldra' by Gåte.

'Twenty One' by The Cranberries is also a contender.

  • Remember the lady that saw a double rainbow for the first time and imidietly concluded that the govenment put weird chemicals in the water?

I think this might be one of those cases.

  • Freespace 1 & 2 deserve a mention here. Old games, so smaller in scope than modern games. But I feel they can compete still.

  • I'm not really up to date on JKR to be honest. It was mostly an example of someone who was asked her opinion, gave it and it pissed people off enough for it to become an issue.

There's a reason we shouldn't look to celebrities for answers or anything other than the entertainment they supply.

  • It depends. People are allowed to have their own opinions as far as I'm concerned.

If their products are good, I see no reason why I shouldn't use them. Even if I don't agree with said opinion.

However, if they are actively making the world a shittier place for others, then I start to have a problem with them.

Like JKR not being pro-trans is just her opinion. And as far as I know, she hasn't gone on a crusade against anyone yet.

But Blizzard encouraging the sexual harrasment of it's female employees is a totally different beast. And I didnt feel right keeping supporting them.

But it's a line everyone has to figure out for themselves.
