  • Todd isn't busy fixing anything. Let's be honest.

There's enough diehard Bethesda fans that will buy anything he shits out. Even F76 has a playerbase now.

  • Probably because Valve doesn't make games anymore. Not on any serious level anyway.

Most of their games are old as hell, and most of them where in the "proof of concept" relm. They only really made games to push the technology they were working with.

It'd be a poor argument to bring up their old catalog of games from 20 years ago as something that made them a worse company today.

  • It's about more than just taking a 30% cut of sales. Everyone agrees that it's a high price. So what else might the potential competition do that make them stand out as worse than Valve?

Also, overworked and underpaid Devs are a different matter. You have look at their Publishers about that. I believe Valves Devs are quite well paid and far from overburdened.

  • It has a Skull called Murrey?! Sign me up! 😃

  • My understanding is that it's usually a matter of malt.

My old boss (chef) used to make these dark malt buns that were beyond delicious. People would snatch them up like there was no tomorrow.

  • I think that, regardless of brand, most users just want the most basic (almost blank slate) OS that can run the programs they choose to install.

And that is close to, if not completely, impossible to get if you don't have a mind for Linux.

  • Sigh I hate what the Internet has become...

  • Why does recipes have to come with a damn essay of it's origin and an explanation of why the author likes a particular food?

At the very least put all the fluff AFTER the recipe.

  • If only I could be a Useful Man...

  • Same. However I do work manual labor, so nothing too fancy lasts long.

  • Nah, it's an animal.

  • Titles will do that. Even the self imposed, like 'musician'. The music scene is filled to the brim with undeserved self importance.

It makes sense that the science community is the same way.

  • It think that goes for any position of relative power. Be the change you want to see in others and all that.

  • I don't think there's any leaders that hate freedom. They just don't care about yours.

  • I, for one, welcome Japanese George Washington, Indian Hitler and Inuit Ghandi to our historical database.

  • Doing my part in Helldivers at the moment.

That game gets my brain firing on all cylinders and although it has It's frustrating moments, I'd say that overall I think it's great. It's one of the few 'Live-Service" games I actually enjoy.

  • Tobacco and alcohol.

Cigars & pipe tobacco. Whisky & cognac. The good stuff.

But after the world became so health focused, these indulgences has become more problematic.

  • Ahh, another ill-defined virtue police set on the task of oppression.

We truely are our own worst enemy.

  • That's too bad. They're really good games. But good Luck with the search.
