  • Engaging in the democratic process and overhrowing a government aren't quite the same thing. But I'm guessing you're perfectly aware of this.

And when it comes to toppling a man like Putin, method matters.

Just straight up killing a person like him will likely have consequenses. And not the "sunshine and rainbows" kind.

  • USA has quite the history of shooting their presidents. But for some reason it doesn't seem to change anything.

So it kinda makes sense that others would be hesitant to attempt the same when the results are so poor.

  • Do what, exactly? It's the same story all over the world, including China and USA.

It takes a lot to make people actively rebel. And then what do you do afterwards? Very few normal people wants to rule a country and they sure as shit don't want risk dying or worse in the attempt.

I'm just saying that you're unlikely to see the Russians do it before you do it yourselves.

  • I don't know if they are that less popular, but I like a good "Mindfuck" film.

Like: Cube (1997), Cthulhu (2007), In The Mouth Of Madness (1994), Naked Lunch (1991).

I don't know if the movies listed are the best representations, but they were some of the first that popped into mind.

  • I believe it's "A Link To The Past".

  • Don't overestimate what unions do. MS is still perfectly in their right to close down the studio and fire all it's staff, if they had a mind to.

It's just a matter of doing it properly. Severance Pay, Pensions and such. Which I honestly don't think Microsoft cares too much about.

I mean, if they can avoid paying it, they would. But they do actually have a legitimate business side. And severance pay for the entire Blizzard staff would likely still cost them less than what they had to pay Kotick to get rid of him.

  • It's not incorrect though. It is all Microsofts. The IPs, the staff... everything.

  • Jesus, I just realized there's only 4 years between them. They should both be retired, not running for second terms as president.

  • I dunno, I haven't been able to get Subnautica to work for some reason. It's likely due to the games own spaghetti code barely being functional on the intended OS's as is...

    But it's a bummer nontheless.

    Same goes for XCOM.

  • Satisfactory is such a great game. I love screwing around in that world.

Nuclear stage breaks my brain though.

  • And Toad is basically a walking butt-plug...

  • Twitch Interactive is an Amazon subsidiary.

Aside from that, I don't know. I guess it's supposed to be sarcasm.

  • Given that the only console games I play are old Nintendo platformers, I'm gonna have to go with the NES Controller.

Trying to play Megaman 2 with analog sticks is an exercise in anger management. XD

  • Tell me you mean that you have played 1 & 2, just not on the steam deck.

Anything otherwise would be a shame.

  • Pretty sure I saw an animated short of a Game Grumps bit about this.

  • Religious people alive today do shit like this. Like Mormons "Soaking" and such.

  • I'm not calling anyone a coward.

I'm just less sure it's the end of anything.

  • "If I was him, I'd keep my head down and try to get to know my kids."

Wouldn't that just mean that the threats worked? The corrupt won?

I mean, the point of whistleblowing is to do so in spite of the threat of punishment, right?
