Watt is the amount of water flowing out at the end
Shouldn't it instead be the sum of the kinetic energy of all water molecules that come out the other end per unit of time (ie. total amount of energy you use move your volume of water with a certain pressure in a second)?
I never got the pipe analogy. Since liquid water can't be compressed, wouldn't the amperes be directly proportional to the volts and to the size of the pipe, assuming there are no air bubbles? Also, supposedly resistance only reduces current, but when I think of hair in a pipe, the pressure after the obstruction would also be lower (because pressure is directly proportional to the amount of water that flows)
It also is a bit annoying that that is the keybinding, because whenever I have to copy something from the browser to the terminal, I must remind myself not to do Ctrl-shift-c as I would in the terminal.
I'm no way an expert in this, but I've been told it's wrong to think of the expansion of the universe like an explosion where everything moves away from a single point, but rather that the space between each object is expanding, comparing it to the way the surface of a balloon expands (if you were to paint multiple dots on the surface of a balloon they would all move away from each other when you inflate the balloon), though I like to think of it as yeast bread expanding since that's 3d.
They are also involved in the military and aerospace industry. They also practically only have a single competitor in the passenger plane manufacture industry (airbus). So they are rich and powerful and do not shy away from exerting their influence to protect their interests.
A great way to learn would also be to write your own c programs and then disassemble or use the -S compiler flag to see the result of the compilation and play around with different optimizations levels (-O)
Is xml really that unreadable for machines? I enjoy xml as a format, because I can generally just convert it to an s-expression and easily manipulate it as a tree.
Are you in the All tab? You can also sort by most comments (that doesn't take recent activity into account, but for that there are other sorts). If you are only finding dead communities, it probably means you have reached the end of lemmy and that there is nothing more to see.
These vpns seem to be quite a good target since at least the one my university uses is run as a setuid executable, so if there is a vulnerability in there, you can execute code as root that wasn't intended to be executed as root.
As TonyTonyChopper this thread said, sometimes that obscure software is what you are required to use in your institution, or they don't offer support for anything else.
In the form of fruit or added? If it's the latter, they will have messed up something as simple as tea even further. When they started packaging them in airtight plastic (preventing one from smelling what you are considering to buy) and wrap every single tea bag in plastic, I already got mad.
I thought you said in another sentence that they have little motor control over their body? How were they able to jump?
Please don't do that.
Edit: I should have read Kindnesslemmy.ml's comment first.
