Where is lemmy.ca hosted? I'm looking at setting up a (non-competing, if that matters) public Lemmy instance and my usual host isn't much use for this. Just looking for suggestions.

Well, she campaigned on being a fascist and made a number of racist claims. But after she was elected she toned it down and even said there was no room for classic fascism in Italy.

So, really, no one should like her.

Excellent, this is exactly what I was looking for. I was thinking this combines with printing on transparencies for cyanotypes might be a cool project.

But how?

Close-to-cause solutions have to start at municipalities. Yes, provinces and federal government can help, but municipalities can solve things quicker.

If I had full control in a large city:

• Primary mass transit would be expanded to increase the feasible housing areas
• Building permit offices and zoning authorities would get a complete overhaul, drastically increasing multi-unit housing in preference to single-family dwellings
• A graduated zoning system would be put in place so multi-unit housing was radically increased near mass transit (near 100% of permits). If people want single-family homes, they would have to live further away from transit.
• Downtown cores would increase pedestrian-only areas
• Tax rates for single-family homes would be increased substantially while condos and townhomes would be seriously reduced.

Basically, make single-family homes less appealing for a variety of reasons.

If he wins, he pardons himself from federal crimes then uses his powers as Commander in Chief to break himself out of prison for state crimes, thereby creating the ultimate constitutional crisis and tearing the country apart.

Makes me wonder what absolute horrors Elon is getting ahead of, with Twitter's rename.

I remember him telling Philip Rosenthal that the reason he developed Pee-wee Herman was that Reubens had a horrible memory for jokes, and so he just built a persona that was inherently funny without them.

Obviously, a brilliant move.

North America doesn't have a bread culture like much of Europe does, and it's sad.

I'm 53, and I think we started being taught metric in grades 3 and 4. For me, the chart is very accurate.

This is extremely accurate, as far as I've seen in western Canada.

A strong peso makes gentrification less likely as rich Americans and Canadians become less likely to retire in Mexico.

I think that only applies at the border and the coastline, but the rules may have changed.

I remember when the political right was wholly against electric cars because of the range. Then Elon showed he hates who they hate, and now they make excuses for the range while polishing his balls.

We had one professionally installed in our previous rural house. It was great most of the time, only really an issue when it hit -25C. However, we didn't use it as our primary heat...that was propane.

I understand that it happens, but it is still something that should not be allowed. It's free labour, regardless of benefits to the company or an individual.

For what's is worth, the large company I work for hires students and pays them for their time.
