  • This talking point only reveals your own ignorance of the sport. Which is fine, nobody needs to know or enjoy football. But having an ignorant take to complain about what someone else enjoys just shows that’s there’s a good chance you don’t care and only want to complain about something you don’t enjoy.

  • I do understand that, it just seems like bringing up a random fact that has no bearing on the actual discussion and seems like it’s missing some additional context to actually be funny.

But, again, totally accepting that I’m the one it’s just not clicking with :)

Thanks for trying though, my skull must just be too thick!

  • Love Scott Manley!

After looking up Cleo Abram I remembered I watched a video where she was hanging out with a paleontologist and that I enjoyed how geeked out she was to find some fossils :) I’ll check out those shorts! Shorts are nice with the kids too. They’re still a bit younger but are curious so that may be the perfect length.

  • Awesome, thanks for the recommendations!

I’ll have to take a closer look at Nebula and CuriosityStream. I think they come up in ads enough that they wind up on my mental ad blocker so I’ve never looked closely at them :)

  • Great lengths are gone to, to avoid responding to direct questions. If you can accuse the other person of being in a bad group (bot, capitalist, not actually left, from an instance I don’t like, etc) then you can avoid reflecting on your own philosophies and the flaws that exist in it. Cognitive dissonance avoided and upvotes gained, pretty compelling for our brains.
