  • wait you’ve been working on ai since 2012? sorry had no idea, link me some of your research papers on how you’ve improved ai! i’m interested :)

  • this is the most dumbest fucking idiot leader of any country in the world right now i swear

  • ok I think we get it, he doesn't like renewables and net zero, this is all he has posted about for well over a year:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/authors/d/da-de/david-blackmon/

I also find it a bit hypocritical? paradoxical? that he is unhappy about renewables while simultaneously being upset that China is winning the race... on renewables

I honestly laughed out loud when I read this headline at Oilprice.com Friday morning: “China is Winning The Race for Ultra-Fast Charging EV Batteries,” it says.

the same guy a year ago

Electric 18-wheelers are even stupider than electric cars

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/comment/2024/03/05/electric-vehicles-cars-trucks-evs-road-transport-freight/

    Maybe he missed this part:

China is installing the wind and solar equivalent of five large nuclear power stations per week

  • The recipe is otherwise pretty much the same as it was five or even eight years ago

I'll never stop being amazed at absolute plebs downplaying what is practically magic

    Sure man, ai is clippy

  • Then you'd remember clippy was pretty crappy, he'd interject with useless assistance and was universally hated and eventually they stopped including it in Word. Today he's just nostalgia bait for people to cash in on

AI on the other hand is everywhere now and not going anywhere

There’s been no major leaps and bounds in technology

This is absolutely absurd thing to say, hence why I figured you're in an echo chamber

    It's making videos:

    Starship Troopers - 1950s Super Panavision 70

    It's making music:

    It's making memes:

I'm using it right now in LM Studio to translate text

10's of millions of people are using at this exact moment to generate images, videos, text, audio translation, text translation, it goes on and on

It's the exact opposite of clippy, it's useful

  • idk if this is a left wing progressive trend or if you genuinely called ai clippy, but you clearly have never used clippy

  • tbh his use of AI is just plain weird, this is more a job of quoting/invoicing software which would already automate and speed up a lot of this stuff

but at the same time it just depends, can getting the response time from 5 hours down to 1 earn them more than taking longer but being more accurate, or even modifying the template so that it doesn't modify line items and values just the writing around the items

  • just got your message!

it depends on supply vs demand but with the cost being so substantially lowered likely putting it into no brainer territory there’s a good chance demand will outstrip supply for a while and your job will be to try your best to avoid dodgy overnight battery sellers

  • the main thing it will do is lower peak time demand which is when electricity prices peak the most, so it should lower electricity prices

those on the bottom rung also get:

    https://www.theguardian.com/environment/commentisfree/2025/apr/08/labor-cheaper-household-batteries-policy-power-grid-renewable-energy-price

Labor has made some steps to address these shortfalls, but could go further. It initially committed $300m to upgrade social housing with better insulation, electric appliances and solar, and last year lifted it to $800m in a deal with the Greens. It is expected to be enough to improve a quarter of Australia’s social housing stock.

  • All I can say is I hope this gives the RWNJs pause about voting for the potato

They don't, they are expecting rate cuts which will make everything better and that trump has said there will be pain so this is expected

  • at that rate i’m pretty sure wa will definitely see battery prices rise, when 10kw batteries are available for 7-8k without subsidies they’ll be practically giving them away to wa residents

  • what about chips act?

    what about inflation reduction act?

you really can’t name anything positive biden did?

  • when you say limit to 100 sended emails, do you have a limit of like 100 within 24 hours or 1 hour or something like this?

  • Why are so many of your posts in World News downvoted?

  • I just think this shows how America-brained so much of the UK is.

Yep, they already had the majority of brands and culture back in the 80s and 90's but since the internet and especially since social media we've never been so american
