My experience with Discord, period:

I hate the Trumps as much as the next guy, but I specifically refrain from dumping on Barron Trump, and you should too: the kid hasn't yet said or done anything that indicates he's going to become a dirtbag like his father or his retarted siblings, and he might very well choose to decide to distance himself from his terrible family.

Same reason why I don't dump on the Musk kids: at least one of them is decent, and the others might become good people too and they deserve a chance.

Give Barron Trump a chance too.

It was so human a lot of usenet was properly unsavory.

Because that's what humans are, mostly.

If I was Carney, I would sooo troll Trump and constantly say in interviews, newspapers and on TV that the United States should become the 11th province.

I have written off the United States myself. And I'm a former American. My personal date for the official death of the American republic is Apr 14 - the day Trump disobeyed a court for the first time.

With that in mind, I'll be pleasantly surprised if America recovers from this bout of MAGA fever, but I'm not holding my breath. Reich however, being still an American and still living in America, and still involved in trying to make Things Better™, obviously has a different outlook and is probably more hopeful than I am.

At any rate, Reich is always informative and pedagogic, and always worth a watch.

This was a brilliant retort. And the sarcasm totally escaped simple-minded Trump - which is of course the best type of sarcasm, when the object of the sarcastic remark doesn't understand it.

You probably haven't heard about it sooner because Pete Hegseth was passed out drunk and didn't log into his Signal account when it happened.

I think he'll snuff it soon - or more likely, he'll become so blatantly deranged that he'll be impeached because he'll just have to be. And I think it'll happen before the end of his term, assuming he doesn't get impeached by the dems after the midterm elections.

The immediate danger if that happens is Vance, who's lying in the shadows and is 10 times more dangerous than Trump, because unlike Trump, he has a working brain.

Because a starter motor draws a hundred amps or so. The solenoid ensures that closing the circuit is done as quickly as possible to limit sparking - and also keep the sparking as far from the driver's fingers as possible. Also, it's closer to the starter motor and the battery, so the cables are short and don't waste as much power as if they had to snake through the firewall - not to mention the PITA of routing monter copper cables through the firewall.

I highly doubt he'll survive this long. He's a fat burger lover, and his personal physician swears he's in excellent health - which probably means the exact opposite, seeing as though anybody gravitating around Trump is a pathological liar.

Billionnaires are hoarders. Like all hoarders, they don't need what they hoard.

The problem for the rest of us is, instead of hoarding empty tincans or Hello Kitty figurines, they hoard money that they get in large part by not paying their fair share of taxes, and the money they hoard lets them buy politicians who in turn let them steal even more tax money.

The death of Henry Kissinger is a heartwarming reminder that life imposes an expiry date on even the most terrible people with power.

Or as Chaplin said: dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.

A comforting thought in Trump's America. Because remember: Trump is 79. His expiry date is fast coming - and not a minute too soon, I might add. All we really have to pay attention to is that none of his younger henchmen succeed him.

Doesn't it bother anybody in Belgium that the future queen of Belgium doesn't study in Belgium? There are great universities in Belgium, on both sides of the language border.
