  • Exactly this.

All the people who got fired and offered to be rehired should agree to refuse unless their salary is doubled - if only because decent employers don't play with people's livelihoods like that, to teach them a lesson.

  • Because alternative clients offer features that only the for-pay official client offers, like subscriptions and playlists, and Google can't collect data on what people subscribe to or their playlists because in alternative clients, they're stored locally.

Google doesn't hate third-party clients because they skip ads: it hates them because they impede surveillance and privacy invasion, which is the true bread and butter of Google.

  • So what's the officially-sanctioned art in the 4th Reich?

In the 3rd, it was roman-style statues and Wagner. I'm guessing it'll be AI-generated portraits of His Orangeness and Kid Rock in the 4th...

  • That's a lot of little extremists.

  • Germany’s political system is resilient even against 20% Nazis.

    ...for now.

The problem is, like you said, Germany will form a bland unappealing, reasonable coalition government that won't rock the boat, pushing more dissatisfied voters into the arms of the AfD. And one day, the extremists will win and then it'll be game over.

But for now yes, Germany is safe.

  • Nazis won’t be part of the government after this result

That's not what I said. What I said is that I find it deplorable that a fifth of the population of Germany - yes, THAT GERMANY - is happily eating the cold vomit their country puked on the world 85 years ago.

  • Nazis running the show in the US of all places is what makes me lose faith in humanity.

Germany... They had the sickness once, they have it again. Surprising and sad, but it seems the vaccination didn't even last a century.

But the US cured Germany of the disease. And now they've got it!

  • The problem isn't proving that voting for that pair of morons was a mistake, the problem is getting the numbskulls who voted them in to admit they made a mistake.

Even when the shitstorm the orange utan and his couch fucker sidekick have unleashed hits them, they still won't admit they were wrong: they'll just say they were deceived.

  • He is much too verbose, launches into side topics that have nothing to do with the subject on hand, and he speaks much too fast. But that's his style. I believe he's on the spectrum and doesn't really know how to focus on what he has to say.

Having said that. I think Louis Rossmann wouldn't be Louis Rossmann, or even be as efficient as he is, if he didn't do that.

  • ...for the desktop.

Newpipe and Grayjay are still going strong on Android.

  • It's all a matter of perspective. I'm an optimist myself so it goes:

    • Before drinking: Hey it was a great day, Let's have a drink to finish it off nicely
    • After drinking: Hey it was a great day but I wish I didn't have to ride the bus home
  • Since when do the orange utan and his goons care about legality?

  • Either that or he's preparing to spring something even worse on them. Such as: "Don't bother explaining what you do and just pack your things."

  • Google clearly has the ability to break any and all third party client at any time.

My theory is that they're conducting random campaigns of working-but-not-all-the-time on this or that client at different times to grind everybody down and force them to comply through shear exhaustion. Because if they banned all 3rd party client outright, it would negatively impact the antitrust case against them.

  • Funny how a man who claims to be the representative of God on Earth seems to be totally let down by the supernatural and entirely dependent on secular medicine for survival, like the rest of us. It's almost as if he was nothing special at all...
