  • Plus the code I wrote myself isn't usually what I have a problem whith changing. It's the various included packages and dependencies that in some cases may no longer be supported, and may not even have a similar replacement. I usually deal with this when updating an old web app that uses the Laravel framework. Some Composer packages are locked in to older versions. And when the client has a 20 hr/month budget, these types of updates can be tough to fit in the schedule.

  • A part of me misses seeing those weird week-long meme trends. Sure the memes got old quick, but it felt like some kind of silly community event and then we all moved on to the next thing.

  • I use ssd for everyday use, but sync my files to a larger internal hdd as a backup/archive. I even occasionally sync all that to an external drive just to be extra safe (Because it would be a disaster to lose all the random stupid bullshit I've accumulated over the years).

  • I can't judge you for that. I'm just tired of obscenely wealthy people treating everyone else like shit without any repercussions. Bezos has enough money to single-handedly solve so many problems and still be very rich, but instead he blows it on his giant flying dildos while his employees piss in bottles because they can't afford bathroom breaks.

  • I've seen a bunch of ads for that. I was curious about it, but I'm naturally suspicious of new shopping websites, especially those with very low prices. It might be worth a look later when I want to buy something.

  • The plant itself grows pretty easily. I generally leave it alone all summer and water it if needed.

And I usually only take one leaf at a time, but it grows easily enough that it can easily spare the older branches when they start turning brown.

You can even leave them outside over winter and they'll grow back next year.
