  • Ah, yes, the scary defense-only alliance. Purely by design it doesn't have the lawful capacity to do any of the things you said, and single members (US or UK) don't represent it.

Ah yes, no advancements in Ukraine where 1/3 of the country is under occupier control and in entrenched positions.

  • While I definitely don't know everything about Epic Games, but my (quick) googling suggests that they do almost no DRM (or just piggy-back on steam, which is minimal DRM). The individual developers are responsible for DRM. Is this not true?

In general, iI feel it is quite a moot point regarding iOS , where Epic wouldnt need to do any DRM, because iOS is locked down to hell...

  • One aspect: I feel once you start thinking about having a family (and not being a farting old decrepid mess by the time your children are 20yo) you really start looking for someone who can be committed and would be interested in starting one, and that really doesn't include hot 20yo girls.

Another: People who age gracefully show they can take care of themselves and look amazing any age. That is powerful. Combined with the fact 25+ have a much better sense of style and manners, and understand the world so much more in a nuanced way.

  • He is an engineer, not an architect, or even a civil construction engineer. He has noted a few times, he has no idea, and did no calculations, his modus operandi is just to (hopefully) overbuild any requirements of strength. He is probably overbuilding some strength 10x what worst case scenario could be, but it still leaves an avenue for error since he doesnt entirely plan it out fully with simulations.

  • And yet, after many decades of solar, wind construction. It is the energy source in that pie chart that is sizeable (just as much as all wind and solar) and extremely stable (probably for the last 50 years), without any major construction in the past 30 years minimum.

  • I was agreeing with you... In the part that criminalization increases social isolation... It was just a remark towards @Sweetpeaches69, who tries reductio-ad-absurdum, which for weed (like any substance) has negative effects on the body, and mind (and in it's specific case the mixture of the two - brain).

I was mostly trying to tell about the biggest impact of weed I can see (and so I write) is the use during difficult times in life (nobody became an addict out of a fulfilling and good life, fairly sure it is a saying even in English?) can exacerbate life problems.

  • While the defence for science is nice (wasn't attacked here), outrage is allowed on public discourse. I think most people are outraged for the lack of inaction of regulatory bodies at the sight of extreme price fixing when everyone and their mother had at least the gut feeling that it is all bullshit.

  • Mutual exclusion means either one is true or the other, but not both. But also what he said has no two specific concepts? What do you mean?

Banning because of advertiser / regulator / government populism vs. It not being political?

  • The country should be able to subsidise short-term economic failure, but it shouldn't hold afloat something that is bound to die (or reduce in size), especially through legal means. It goes against capitalism that underpins that economy, and common sense.... Things change, and businesses die.
