  • Well it's also that they're highly aggressive animals that will attack (and kill) pretty much anything that gets just a little too close for their comfort, despite looking cute and cuddly.

  • There's a reason we talk about lethal current and not lethal voltage...30mA can kill you, even at something ridiculously low as 9V, but 5-10kV will not necessarily kill you, e.g. fences for horses will not kill you if you're electrocuted by them because there's basically no amperage. Voltage is not the determining factor in lethalness.

  • They're not wrong though, this is a meme sub and this post is not actually a meme so it doesn't really belong. I disagree with your statement that the commenter wants it gone because they don't personally like it, they want gone because it is objectively is not a meme and shouldn't be posted here.

Intentional violation of community rules should trigger warnings/bans/etc. in a well moderated community.

  • Moderation is not bad in itself, it is curating of content to keep topics on track and quality above a certain limit. It has absolutely nothing to do with billionaires or their desires. A lot of subs on different instances are really shitty because of lacking moderation. Leaving subs completely unmoderated is a recipe for a disaster shitpile.

The good old forum days also had a lot of moderation to keep them from turning to shit.

  • Most drivers prefer plugging in at home or nearby, especially overnight. While this offers convenience, it creates problems for the power grid, which is already under stress during peak evening hours.

Wildly misleading title. Overnight charging doesn't pose a problem, charging in the evening may pose a problem. All EVs today have scheduled charging so you can plug it in when you get home but it won't charge until nighttime where load and price are low. This is a non-issue, it has already been solved for everyone but the most dense idiot consumers.

  • In what world is a pair of scissors even remotely comparable to a razor!?

Have you ever tried trimming a beard with a pair of scissors? It's ridiculously hard to do well yourself (I've tried). It'll look like shit and take ten times as long as a good electric trimmer (which will also last you many years). Alternatively I could go to a barber, but that would set me back more than $100/month with trimming twice per month.
