  • You could as easily say israel would stop bombing palestine if hamas stopped doing terrorist attacks but then were just going back 100 years of back and forth tbh.

Point is that if israel did what you said today, the violence towards them would not stop. And just picking one side and unilaterally ignoring everything bad the other side has done is literally just feeding into this shit

  • I've seen youtubers that bought reject sapphire from the f-35 cockpits that had some minor flaw in some place that disqualified it.

I think you can buy reject batches of artificial ruby for indilustrial applications too.

  • It seems so binary in the u s (presuming that's where you're from, apologies if I'm wrong). I'm glad it's not quite so rigid where I'm from. A lot more people seem to have different leanings depending on the issue in ireland.

Granted, there are still a lot of people who are commited to their party pretty rigidly, and i see a lot of people basing their politics off of americans a lot due to social media. Its frustrating how much u.s politics gets discussed by some, mostly hard left or hard righters in my experience.

  • For me anyway, not the person you asked but lemmy needs comments to feed it.

But for me, i don't visually picture someone's face off I'm remembering it, but i do remember what someone looks like. So when I meet someone I recognise, it just clicks. I could describe someone i know from memory but maybe not with a ton of detail.

I remember what things look like, could remember details of a painting etc etc, it's just when i think of things, theres no visual acompaniment.

Idk its hard to explain now that I'm trying to put it in words
