Well, yes, most people want computers to be unnoticable and boring. I agree, we need more boring tech that just does a job and doesn't bother us. That said, plenty of people find self-hosting to be fun - your SO and mine excepted, of course.
Having kids can be extremely fulfilling, doesn't increase human suffering at all. Having kids subjectively improved my life and the lives of many people adjacent to me, e.g. the lives of my family members and friends and my kids' friends.
I don't understand how the Internet is so anti kids, it's pretty baffling.
Obviously babies are demanding, especially in countries with shitty parenting support and daycare, no parental leave, and a work environment which is hostile to normal family life. But kids are fine, funny, and a joy to be around, most of the time, at least. It's a bit like work, many people bitch about it but they still find it fulfilling.
Also, I know people my age with no kids and they a constantly complain that they're tired 😂 probably they're just getting old.
Taking care of a kid is not exactly grueling work for 18 years, it's a lot easier after the first 3-4, and is also very fulfilling even when it's tough. Assuming you have normal human caregiving feelings and so on.

Once in Italy my wife tried ordering a pizza with chicken and they just straight up laughed at her and said 'Not in Italy!', but like.. not in a mean way.
It's not even that strict. In Denmark you have to have been a resident continually for 9 years, with no long periods of travel abroad, before you can even apply for citizenship, as well as a 'permanent residence' permit.
You also have to have been employed continually for 3½ of the previous 4 years, have a clean criminal record, as well as pass several Danish exams and a citizenship test where you must demonstrate knowledge of Danish society, culture, history and so on.
After that, you have to participate in a ceremony where you shake hands with the mayor or alderman of your municipality, sign a declaration where you swear to comply with the Constiturion, respect Danish values and laws, and support democracy.
THEN your name is added to a formal law which must be passed by the parliament - as Danish citizenship is awarded by law.
Arguably, Afghanistan has never been united as a nation in the way we think about it, at least not for long. The cycle seems to be short decades of control under some power followed by decades of decentralization and local powers.
