  • Cottage Garden is very satisfying. You Tetris together garden pieces to fill plots and you can cover a single spot with a sleeping kitty. There’s scoring and competition, but it’s not antagonistic in any way.

I’m also a big fan of cooperative games in general.

  • I don’t think this will actually work. First time around, it was Trump and a bunch of morons he liked because they said nice things to him or had big tits. The actual staff who were used to running a presidency and who were trying to run a presidency were the ones who wore him out because there was no one else to go to.

This time around, I think Trump is going to do jack shit, but he’s brought so much corruption and vice with him that he doesn’t have to leave the golf course. There’s an army of more capable monsters flooding the government now, and they have Project 2025 as their playbook.

  • Xenk was great - that walking off bit was apparently because they hadn’t called “cut” yet and he just kept walking. So they let him, then turned it into a gag.

I think he was supposedly crafted as a replacement for a planned inclusion of Drizzt as a character, but I like my headcanon that he’s basically the DMPC sent to deus ex machina them out of their worst fuckups.

  • That movie was the shit. It had no right to be as good as it was until you realize that it was a movie made with love by true D&D nerds, designed to feel like the cinematic retelling of an actual campaign, crit rolls, weird player personalities, DM nudging, and all.

  • I have been a big fan of Jabra earbuds, but they’ve left that market entirely so I wouldn’t personally recommend buying them. It doesn’t bode well for long-term support. The Elite 10 I think is their last consumer true wireless set.

  • Social media.

The success of the Republican Party has been largely driven by social media. Trump getting elected directly led to hundreds of thousands of preventable COVID deaths, climate change is running rampant, wildfires and major adverse weather events are becoming more common AND more intense, racism and hate crimes are on the rise, school shootings have become a weekly occurrence, and we’re just getting started.
