I'm disabled and can't afford a working computer to play video games, you rich motherfucker.

If we really were to be in the Matrix that's fine, but could I maybe ask for some better living conditions? Maybe be able to actually afford things without constant worry and anxiety over whether I can pay the rent.

I used to work with a guy who would wear what liked like a band touring tee shirt, but the "band" was "Grants March to the Sea" and the locations were every town he razed to the ground.

Classic fairy tales were horror shows meant to teach important life lessons for their times. They say a lot about the cultures that told them. Like just how insanely many are about teaching women about the importance of being a "good wife" or marrying up the socio-economic ladder. At least the rest of them are about why you shouldn't trust hobos living under bridges or some shit.

There are places (Ground News is a good one IMO) where you can see how biases are broken down by factors like factual accuracy and political alignment.

Jokes for adults that are in kids' shows are an old trend. The logic behind it is that it's there so the parents have something to laugh at too, since they're forced to put up with it asking with their kids (usually).

Seriously, go back and watch the shows you used to like as a kid and you'll see it. Animaniacs is a good example.

Dude I live in the middle of the continent. I can drive for nearly 1,000 miles in any direction but north and still be in the US. not only is nearly everything about America for me, but I have nothing to do with anywhere else other than where the shit I buy comes from.

The people you need to bitch at are the enormous corporations expanding across the world like a cancer and the same federal government most of us hate too. You may have to put up with "everything being about America" but we're drowning in it, please send help.

As this keeps happening I continue to wonder when Europe and the UK will finally realize how badly they need to air conditioning. The units are (or were in the past year or 3)b way more expensive there than here in America. I dunno about current costs. It's worth it though, even if you only need it for like 1 month out of the year.

The whole system is being dismantled to the point I keep wondering when it'll suffer total structural collapse. It's less about the "doom" part than the lingering anxiety over the "impending" part.

If I'd known that inevitable death was that easy I'd have put shit off even sooner.
