250 songs would bore the fuck out of me after a couple days if even it lasts that long.
My current 'main' playlist has over 4K songs on it and they're all from one genre. My liked songs alone has over 1K songs. In the last year, I listened to over 23K different tracks.
Maybe you're okay with just a handful of songs. That's fine, but isn't going to work for everyone.

My cat can jump to the middle of my mounted TV with a nice amount of force. I'm sure if she wanted to, she'd find a way to jump to the top and break it.
I haven't seen many microwaves without a popcorn button since the 90s. We usually skip over the few that don't when we need to shop for a new microwave (which I've bought two microwaves in the last twenty years, so not a common expense). I'd consider it a basic function, not over-engineering.
