It's not a convenience thing, it's because the government fucked up the whole online thing. They started too late, they constantly miss the goals they set themselves, nobody seems to want to push things forward. It's a bit frustrating. On the other hand, yeah privacy. If you ignore that the Finanzamt can check your bank account whenever they want without you being notified about it (yes, they need a reason, still...) and Krankenkassen knowing almost everything about your health because they get the bills from your doctor.
It doesn't cost VW anything either, they still want 1500€ to enable the fog lights to turn on when taking a turn (not sure how what feature is called).
If I would get pictures taken by a photographer I would not allow them to be used as training data. I don't even like looking into a mirror. Maybe that's part of why there are less ugly people pictures to train with.
Hetzner is a German company. We don't do this Internet thing very well. I guess they don't think anyone could have any reason to have more than one Server, but to be sure, they allow ten.
I skimmed over the page you linked and it sounds like an 'exit node', or more precisely, just a proxy. So all the traffic looks like it's coming from you.
GOG does not give out steam keys, you can download all games as 'stand alone installers' and don't need a launcher.
You forgot the humble store (which now also comes with a launcher).
My Model 3 has a real world range of about 420km (maybe 300 if I constantly go 160km/h). For long travels this is more than I need, as I usually travel with the family and about every 2 or 3 hours I need a break. Plug it in, eat something, your good to go an additional 200km with the charge you added.
It also takes me to work and back for 4 or even 5 days. When I could not charge at home I could at work or while grocery shopping. I prefer this over waiting 3 minutes at the gas station doing nothing else than holding a dirty hose.
