  • Probably controversial, but the final season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was pretty bad - 2 good episodes (and the finale, though people tend to ignore its flaws because the last scene was so satisfying), but the rest of it was mostly Season-1-level filler.

  • Mr Musk had initially rushed to embrace the news when Jenna, formally known as Xavier, transitioned at age 16.

To me this suggests that he first thought it would seem hip and contrarian to support his trans daughter, then he realized that actually the people he considers hip and contrarian are all about hating on trans kids now, and so swiftly pivoted to doing that. (I don't imagine he had any strong feelings about his daughter as a person either way - it's not like he was around for her childhood changing diapers or whatever)

  • The most unrealistic thing about this is the fact that they get to the recipe after just one paragraph; the real version of this would have like 27 photos of the father, a long essay about growing up and his various demons, etc, and there would be at least half a dozen banners about things gut doctors are begging you not to eat along the way.

  • They thought they were getting a Charlie Baker and instead they got a mini-DeSantis. (and it's not the first time a Republican has pulled this stunt - Mike Pence for example famously ran as a non-boat-rocking moderate successor to Mitch Daniels before promptly going all cuckoo once elected)

  • That's done regionally, unfortunately, and I expect that whichever one accredits schools in the South is going to quickly be taken over by conservative jackasses if it hasn't been already.

(OTOH, employers and graduate programs are free to assign whatever level of credibility they wish to any given university's diploma)

  • Crusader Kings IV: you can still play as the Holy Roman Empire, but now you have to purchase the Holy Expansion Pack for $19.99, the Roman Expansion Pack for $29.99, and the Empire Expansion Pack for $39.99, despite the fact that it's none of those things.
