It's weird particularly to see that praise for Skyrim when (imo obviously) morrowind in the same series had a substantially more interesting story and world, a decade prior
My wife once went over the 2000 word emails i'd text her from the train ride home when I lived abroad. T9 plus a decent text prediction was sooooo much easier and faster than this typo prone bullshit we put up with
I'd argue it's mostly true. I've never used Fahrenheit for a pool, the pools I've used in multiple cities around the west are all in Celsius. I'm as confused about 101f as a hot tub temperature as I am about knowing if 72f is a good room temp. Like most people I know, I switch my AC to Celsius immediately, because otherwise I have to do a mental conversion any time I want to set it. I think the only F a Canadian is almost certain to use is in oven temperatures..
And the "is it for work" adage for lengths only really applies to trades.
I think specifically the concept of transgender is fairly modern, and probably shouldn't be applied to someone from such a different culture. It's definitely possible they would have been the equivalent to what we call trans, and that'd be cool AF, but there's no way to differentiate whether or not this was a genetically female person who identified with a different gender role, or if it's evidence that being a warrior was an acceptable role for anyone regardless of gender.
Nah, I'm talking about everything. Tons of people still ride bikes for transport and don't identify as cyclists, or don't really care whether their phone is an android or iPhone. A large majority of people don't identify with little details of their lives like that, but when you go online into a specific topic there's a much higher chance of running into people who feel really strongly about it, because they're drawn to the topic and are participating in a subset of people who already tend to be really passionate about nerdy shit.
I don't see how that original comment was any different from the dickweeds that think rolling coal is a great way to troll the libs. "Doing this thing is bad for everybody and we should stop" --> "oh yeah I'm gonna do it even more and brag about it" is intensely obnoxious behaviour.
Go ahead and eat your burger or whatever. Sure, there are bigger targets to make. But bragging about it in a thread about how it's harmful is top shelf assholery.
All I've got to offer are unionisation pamphlets and a brick.
