The story telling is what really did it for me. I consider witcher 3 to be the greatest game I've ever played. The quality of that game is still extremely high even to today's standards.

How did you lose alpha access? I paid 45 bucks several years ago haven't reported a single bug and have played on and off for years and I still have access.

I only spent 45. I'm not unhappy about that purchase. But I pretty much understood what they are trying to deliver is going to take a very very long time. So I guess I'm not mad about it because I wasn't expecting to actually buy a completed game for that 45. It's not the first time I've jumped on an early access game so I was fully expecting to wait and the things I've seen look so awesome I'm perfectly happy waiting till it's done. But shit I am going to get squadron 42 plus the base game so IDK I'm happy with that.

I really confused by all this hate. Has anyone here actually tried to play the actual game? It's pretty damn impressive what they have now.

Everyone says everything is "broken" now. The game loop absolutely works so it's not broken Yet it is flawed.

The original mercenaries from PS2. If we had a fully destructible environment with today's graphics god it would be glorious. If they could throw some co op in there. Man it would be great.

Ultimately the killing of sync brought me. But reddit just isn't what it used to be. Every gaming sub is just a bunch of cry babies complaining about the game that used to be good but isn't. Every post is just someone else reposting the same popular phrase or meme. It just over all sucks. I've actually tried using the app and the site it just doesn't work well. It doesn't even show content from all of my subs like sync used to. Now I'm using sync on lemmy and its passable. I actually kind of like the smaller user base. Less hive mind bull shit.
