We'll see what happens when it gets to the Senate. Will they filibuster it? Probably not. Will some democratic senators vote for it? I think it's likely.
I expect them to filibuster everything. They have filibustered nothing. In Cory Booker's case, he literally filibustered nothing. His "filibuster" blocked no specific legislation or appointee.
You think republicans are gonna prosecute biden while trump is doing the same thing? You think they're gonna set that precedent? they just got scotus to rule that the president is above the law.
If the communist party had as little difference between themselves and nazis as democrats have from republicans, you would be saying this without sarcasm.
I’m not saying the democrats did everything right, but the logic on incremental progress is correct vs tear it all down if it’s not a utopia already
As opposed to taking credit for the work they didn't fucking do.
They had a majority under Obama and another under Biden. They had the opportunity to codify Obergefell. They chose not to. I wonder how upset they were that scotus did what they were unwilling to do because it wasn't iNcReMeNtAl enough.
If scotus hadn't stepped in, democrats would still be fucking about with half-measures.
SCO always reminds me of this:
