  • I was suffering from hyperemisis last year and it took 3 doctors before I finally found one to take me seriously, which I consider it lucky it only took 3. The last doc I was practically on my hands and knees begging them to take me seriously.

In the middle of all that I also ended up with pneumonia. Normally I never get sick so I was like wtf is going on. But anyways, a doctor finally took some chest x rays and 2 weeks later they call to tell me that my X-ray was clear. I. Went. Off. I ended up having to go to the ER 2 days after the doctor visit because I could no longer breathe, it was so painful. How is it possible that my x ray was clear??? Then another week goes by and the assistant calls to tell me that I do have pneumonia and a prescription has been sent in. I just hung up and filed complaints with everyone I could. That office was a hot mess.

  • I’m curious where that 40% number comes from. Do you have a source?

Also, while I agree that the feds don’t do enough, the state and city governments are worse, constantly misusing or outright stealing the money the feds do give them. And to that I say it’s the state/city and voters fault for not educating themselves and voting appropriately. I say all this as someone who currently lives in a rural south town. The people are apathetic and the elected leaders take advantage of that. The corruption is astounding.

  • Because someone on some board in a small town in NY said they should dial back on gas ovens in new builds. One side decided to make a huge stink about it and claim the other side is trying to remove all gas ovens.

  • Right right I get that. Thanks for your input. I guess I was confused because I’ve personally never used it to actually insult someone, but in a joking manner with friends. But now I’ve learned “dumb” and “stupid” is also ableist. Which, IMO, is just going too far because words change meaning and I don’t think many people use those words with intent to criticize disabled people anymore. But whatever, was just curious.

  • IMO, yes. As long as you’re following the label instructions. Otherwise, it shouldn’t be offered OTC. Also, as long as your child has no health conditions that may cause unwanted side effects. Your child should be getting regular check ups so as a parent, you should have an understanding of what is or isn’t okay for your child.

I’ve given my kids OTC meds without consulting their doctor first. I just read the label and gave them the recommended dosage. Sadly, they’re still kicking (jk jk, I love my kids lmao).

  • First of all dipshit, you do pay for kindergarten. Via taxes. What are you, 12?

Like I said, my comfort doesn’t trump yours and your comfort doesn’t trump mine. Either deal with the fact that kids will be on flights or stop flying. Or become a member of congress and try to pass a law barring kids from planes.

  • Lmao dude. Get off your high horse. Your comfort doesn’t trump mine and vice versa. If anyone is entitled here, it’s you, believing that parents have to always go out of their way to make sure everyone else is comfortable just because they have kids and you don’t.
