  • My twisted view of the world? There are rules to debating whether you like it or not. It’s clear you don’t want to actually debate and just want to criticize anyone who speaks against you. Perhaps take some time to understand why you hold the beliefs you do, and why others would hold the beliefs they do. Going around spouting your opinion without being able to back up why you have that opinion with sources will not win anyone to your side. Good luck IRL dude.

  • I was so obsessed with Dutch Bros Paris tea that I went and ordered a bag so I’d stop spending $5/day going there. It’s still the best tea that I’ve ever drank, IMO. Add some agave and it’s my own little Dutch bros at home.

Harney & Sons is the brand they use.

  • Yeah, I was using getting into your car as an example because our burn center has to put out a warning every year due to people literally burning their hand off getting into their car. Like I said, my state regularly gets to 120 in the summer. Texas rarely gets that hot. I’ve already stated in my previous comment that you’d need to drink more water, but it’s not going to fucking kill you. Hell, during summer we are lucky if it gets below 105 at night. You’re being really dramatic with the whole “my shirt is soaked in sweat!!” When you obviously live in a humid area. It being 70 in Florida will get you the same results. Like seriously, 100 ain’t shit, yeah drink more water, but you don’t need to stop every 2 minutes for a water break. 110 here means construction crews stop working at 2 instead of 6, and no there are no 10-15 increments of working. You shouldn’t only be drinking water, which will make you sick, anyways. You should also have an intake of oral salts to balance everything out. And it will prolong your need for water. And for the record, I was homeless for years so I have literally lived in the heat and seen countless people die from exposure. No one ever died when it was 100 out.

  • There was a war movie and in one scene they were handing out gear to the troops and one guy was like “Is there anything good?” or something along those lines and someone responded “It’s from the Army, NOPE!” And to this day whenever I think about it I chuckle a bit.

  • Right. The BDSM world has very strict rules. If you’re ever with a partner who “wants to try bdsm” without multiple conversations beforehand, then walk away. Aftercare is also a huge and important part of BDSM.

  • There actually were no bots on Reddit when it first went online (were bots a thing in 05?). But Alexis and Steve both admitted to having multiple accounts to post links for those first few weeks to make it seem like there were more users than there actually were. Remember back when it first went online all you could do was post news articles. No comments, gifs, pics, or subreddits. It wasn’t until someone created Imgur for the express purpose of being able to post pictures on Reddit that you were able to do so.

  • Just an fyi, 100F is not “unsafe without counter measures” level of hot. That would be around 115+F. I say this as someone from a city that regularly hits 120F during the summer. 100 you can still get in your car, 115+ you need to wear gloves or else you’ll get 3rd degree burns. 100 have to buy pizza for lunch, 115+ just bake a pizza in your car.

  • Yeah there are so many lawyers with AOL accounts. I personally know one who is a powerhouse, won awards and whatnot. But outside the courtroom? As dumb as a bag of bricks, super naive, was shocked to learn they are an attorney, let alone the go to attorney in their field.

  • If you go to the modcoord subreddit, that is not the case everywhere. There have been several posts from mods complaining that their numbers are down, and they’re spending all their time modding to combat bot accounts. Reddit recently implemented a social credit score as well that not even mods can access. And they were vague as hell about what would make your score high/low.

  • What? Just because a house is old, doesn’t mean it isn’t still habitable. If a house that old is still standing and in good condition chances are it’s built better than new builds. And by the pictures, previous owners have taken a lot of care in it and upgraded it. Sure, the cosmetics may need to change depending on your preferences, but there is nothing wrong with that house structurally.

  • So I own a 350, I do need it for work though lol, I haul things on an almost daily basis. Anyways, these trucks are usually governed at 96mph. It’s diesel so I get pretty good mileage on the highway, 400+ mi per tank. I do have to fill up about once a week though. Driving cross country, AZ-AL, I only had to fill up 4x.

  • That’s not his job, that’s congress’s job. He can propose a bill, but wtf is the point when the house doesn’t even have a speaker and the current majority hasn’t brought a single bill to the floor for a vote.

  • You’re supposed to be in the middle lane if you are not exiting the highway soon. The middle lane is the travel lane. Left lane passing lane. Right lane is specifically for entering/exiting the highway. At least on a 3 lane highway.
