  • Nope. RCA > S-Video, HDMI, or FireWire. Any of the three would have worked at the time. And many VCRs had either HDMI, VGA, or S-Video out.

  • yt-dlp and VLC still work. I'm good.

  • I thought it was a Brownian USB. We know which alignment it should be in, but we can't be certain since we know the vector of its movement into the port.

  • I'm literally dead in about a week. All of my heating, cooking, and refrigeration are electric, and I have no backup supply or the means to safely add a backup. So I'd have no food, very little water, and I'd freeze to death.
