  • Why? This is publicity for her towards her constituents and grifting targets.

  • If you end up Captain America down the line, does how you were really matter?

  • Going into a legal dick measuring match with 3 of the most hardcore litigious corps in the tech world.

    Sounds smart.

  • Way back when Nirvana, Tool, RATM and all the great early 90's bands were coming up, there was another.

A dingy Swedish band named Clawfinger.

They had a debut, self released album named Deaf Dumb Blind and it's most well known song was named Nigger.

The song sprung outrage with the conservative right in the US, because back then they pretended they were against racism and the use of that word.

Clawfinger was similar in lyrical meaning with Rage Against the Machine, most of their songs were protest songs.

    These are the lyrics.

(guess I'll link it as I can't find how to do spoiler tags ...)

  • So, they hit the launchers (up top square) but missed the ammo (which is not the large red box, but the area above it)?

  • That's because modern country is squarely focused on (far) right leaning people and they are utterly deaf, dumb and blind to any sort of metaphor, sarcasm and subtlety.

It's why these pricks go nuts for songs like Killing in the Name, not realizing it's a song that explicitly hates on them saying stuff like "some of those who work forces, are the same that BURN CROSSES".

They only see and hear that title and have no fucking clue what it and the rest of the song is actually about.

  • Exactly, these are terror tactics, not things that they ever thought would work in practice.

  • Didn't he recently say he does everything he can to prevent wars and the like?

Cause this is quite the exact opposite of trying to prevent wars.

  • Preventative maintenance.

As you said, takes years to go bad.

So take the 10-15 minutes of time it takes to clean the duct, once a year.

And start making a list of things you can do preventative maintenance on.

  • While the guy is an asshole, your title is grade A bullshit and a warping of his actual words.

He said a jump of 40-50%, meaning that if there's 5% unemployment, he wants to push it to 7,5%.

His whole talk is horrible and disgusting enough without you misrepresenting it.

  • Mitt Romney earned some respect in my eyes.

The man was the worst of the worst in business, he pretty much popularized Vulture Capitalism with Bain Capital.

And while he was a GOP politician expressing plenty of political positions I don't agree with, setup social healthcare in his state, was the only one to vote to Impeach Trump and before J6, he messaged Mitch McConnel telling him he was concerned with what he heard the far right element was planning for J6 on social media and hoped that Mitch was doing something about it, BECAUSE HE WAS CONCERNED TRUMP WOULDN'T AND WOULD INSTEAD SPUR THEM ON.

While his politics weren't my thing, he did do his best to stand on the side of good and decent, in a party where those are entirely alien concepts.

  • There was a time Alex Jones railed against and exposed Neoconsand (Bohemian Grove infiltration) and hated on Russia like the best of them.

    Endorkend Farm remembers.

Back in the day when I listened to Alex Jones and David Icke for sheer entertainment value, had Above Top Secret as my homepage, when the conspiracy scene was filled with potheads like GTA:SA's The Truth and other "expand your mind (chemically if preferred) X-Files lovers instead of an endless stream of racist little piglets.

When conspiracy theories were about UFOs and geopolitical humbuggery by politicians, rather than a bunch of manchildren being angry they aren't allowed to be as racist as they want to be.

  • Isn't that the whole point of a RICO style case, to have a trial for the whole gang of criminals and make every member culpable for actions taken by all members?

Makes it far easier to get shot callers convicted.

  • It's interesting someone in congress has the time (or need) to get their breast implants upgraded. The difference in two years is staggering.

  • Who woulda thunk things would go this way when they hired an ex EA exec ...

  • "It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission".

Especially if your actions make it so that it becomes you yourself who can dole out the forgiveness.

  • Or undiscovered temples surrounded by alien looking monoliths, surrounded by science and industrial complexes.

  • I check both Reddit and Kbin, have both of them open in pinned tabs.

But I spend a whole lot less time on Reddit than I used to.

And it's not like I now spend the less time I spend there on Kbin either, I'm just mostly beyond browsing it obsessively and do other crap instead.

    Same with Twitter.

After I quit Twitter and moved to Mastodon, I do read my feed once or so a day, but compared to a year ago, I barely participate anymore.
