We all share responsibility to take real action to focus our species on solutions to avoid mass suffering and death.

I do take some fairly serious steps towards anticonsumption and reducing my footprint, such as not eating meat. One of the steps I have taken to reduce the environmental damage that I cause is to not have children. This has an additional effect of preventing their suffering and death.

This seems to be perfectly in line with your stated goal.

Sorry for trying to find some purpose in this crappy life in the form of nurturing and caring for another person.

I find purpose in helping those who already exist, in the service of preventing suffering.

This would have happened with or without them. They introduced other problems, but we were already headed to climate collapse before this year.

Yeah, a lot of these are just things that the commenter obviously wants to get rid of. It would be more of a "2 birds, one stone" than an actual sacrifice.

I liked the OG Tesla Model S (I know there was a roadster before it). But the other models just didn't do it for me. The X, 3, and Y are all oddly proportioned. And the interiors on the 3 and Y are just not good. I know Tesla fans will excuse the lack of instrument cluster and other missing features that are standard on other vehicles, but no thanks.

And the Cybertruck is just straight-up bizarre.

I don't eat meat, and don't seem to need them for other foods. I do use an IR thermometer though to check the temperature of the pan before putting food on it.

Although I liked the series, the "supernatural" elements in it really threw me off. I would still recommend the series but be clear that it is science fiction and doesn't always adhere to physical limitations as we know them, without getting any more specific than that.

I thought "In Time" was a good movie. I agree that there is a lot that could be done with it, however only so much can be done in a movie. This sort of concept really lends itself to multiple movies or a series (just don't drag it out too long).
