Sounds more and more like he was a libertarian who didn't like Trump. Doesn't fit so cleanly into the media narrative, but there's definitely a lot of folks who fit that description politically in the US. Right leaning in a lot of ways but don't like authoritarianism. That part of the electorate also tends to own the most firearms, and there are no shortage of them in PA.
He was registered back in 2021. Not sure this has much bearing on the 2024 primaries. He could have been a right leaning person who didn't like Trump. Those people exist. Basically, most libertarians.
I've probably really only had one job where this was a problem, and it was already a politically charged environment because of the work we were doing. Despite the nature of the work, the drama wasn't political at all. It was just all young people just out of college airing way too much of their personal lives too freely. With all of the rivalries, infighting, and occasional sabotage, it felt like a 2000s MTV series in there.
There is no response you will accept. Whatever I write, you will just continue to hand wave away, no matter how explicit the evidence. I give up. Live in whatever fictional reality you want. I'm done reasoning with you.
Wages are going up relative to inflation. That's literal growth and progress. No one is arguing that people aren't struggling. Has there ever been a time in US history when people weren't?
Where are you even getting that from? Economics isn't a matter of opinion. Wages are, in fact, up, and inflation has been easing. This isn't about fascism or race. This has been an across the board trend since 2021. Things are far from perfect, but they are improving.
Wages are up, and inflation is down. The economy isn't roaring, but it's a hell of a lot more stable than what Biden was handed in 2020. The examples you are offering, while certainly valid for the folks in your community, are anecdotal. The facts are in the data. This country is too big to determine its overall economic health with a localized eye check. Lots of folks are struggling. Lots of folks are also thriving.
NYT has been going downhill for a while now, and their slant lately couldn't be more obvious. I was a reader for years but ditched my account recently. It's not even the Biden stuff per se, but just all of the reporting quality became more about shock and drama than actual journalism. They used to be great too.
The ads are in the app store. I don't really understand why that's a problem. Although I'm probably the only tool out there that actually likes Windows 11.
Yeah Biden has always said stupid shit too, but you're not going to convince most people of that. They will assume it's due to senility. I'd say that's certainly part of it, but it's also par for the course for Biden.
And also a common white last name. It's just a common last name. Alan Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Peter Jackson. It's a surname with English origin. Lots of Jackson's out there. It tells you pretty much nothing about what the person looks like. Couple that with your first name being DWIGHT, and you've got yourself one hell of a common name.
No doubt about the mental health issues, and I agree it's a huge problem in the US. In terms of how the police responded to this though, it's really tough to judge. It seems they prevented something worse from taking place.
