I’ve seen people on Mastodon referring to the company as The Company Previously Known as Twitter.

This next two are pretty good and fast, but can’t get used to them because they feel very Android-y, which is not a bad thing, they just feel off to me on iOS:

I’m currently at 8 Lemmy clients installed. There’s something to like about each, so it’s hard to decide for just 1.

You can also seamlessly download videos on all of your devices, on top of their own music streaming service.

I’m sure you can get all of it for free somehow, but there’s a point in life that convenience is more important. Also, the family plan is dirt cheap if you consider all you get.

All in all, I would like to have a bit less circlejerk and start having more diverse content.

Don’t get me wrong, all the beans and old memes is helping a lot with keeping the platform alive and with constant activity, but I think at some point we need to start posting more stuff and make Lemmy more friendly and attractive to newcomers.

I would argue that because the iPhone is their most popular product, they will do it.

When they released the iPhone X back in 2017 at $999, people were outraged at the price increase for the average iPhone price, and yet we keep buying more expensive phones.

Iirc, it’s been said that the reason for them to ditch CarPlay is so that they can add their own infotainment system where they can charge for subscriptions.

It’s not a technological problem, it’s a “we want to extract every penny out of our customers” problem.

There was an article form yesterday saying that Holywood Studios’ endgame was to let the writers go broke before resuming talks. So zero good faith at all.
