a spray bottle and washable pads work better than a standard mob
Is that the Enjo brand? We're doing a big house clean today before we go on hols next week. I'm on floor tiles duty and that's what I'll be using. I've been putting it off for weeks but has to be done today.
Urgh...the nationwide shortage of ADHD meds, specifically in my case Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine), is a real worry. I was first prescribed 40mg then I was given an additional script for 20mg, so 60mg a day all up. But for the second time this year there are no 40s, so I've blasted through my scripts for 20s by having to take 3 a day. My GP clinic can't/won't take on the management of my meds, so I have to get scripts from my psych...and he's on leave and cannot be contacted.
The system is so rigid. Local pharmacies have heaps of 20s which I don't have a script for, but they can't substitute those for the 40s which I do have a script for. It's infuriating.
I have the Bathurst chair from Officeworks. It's categorised as a gaming chair, but it's comfy and supportive for general use. For $168 I think it's as good as the $400+chairs. If you have an Officeworks near you it's worth just going in and trying some of the display models.
Which of the articles you've read use the word "triggered", because none that I've read say that. Isn't it also an assumption to say the families weren't consulted? None of us know that, but it should be kept in mind that at the time the request for police not to march in uniform, the victims' bodies had not yet been found which you'd imagine would have amplified the hurt for the families and in the wider community.
I have no skin in this game, the only reason I replied to OP was because I happened to be reading this article about it.
The parade board uninvited the police, who usually march in their uniforms, because it was deemed to be insensitive following the murder of a gay couple by one of their colleagues (with a police issue revolver no less). Individuals who happen to be police were still allowed to march just like anyone else. Now an agreement has been reached that police can be in the parade as a representative group, but in plain clothes.
As for the police that are maintaining law and order, that's their job, as it is for any large scale public event.
He's a great story teller, it was a shame he went sub-only, but he's got to make a living like the rest of us. I can only find his new pod 'Medical Mysteries' but not his true crime series.
Important things on my to-do list: bookkeeping for my business, cleaning the house
Not on my to-do list: sorting out the multiple boxes of accumulated tech stuff that I've hoarded over the years
Guess which one my ADHD brain is hyper-focusing on today...
The oldest thing I've found so far is a 23 year-old Nokia 6210, also a Nokia 770 'internet tablet' from 2006
So that Amazon order that was delayed from last Thursday, the one that I was going to get a refund for today, finally turned up at 7.59pm last night. Phew.
What did you get? We went with a Samsung when we moved house last year because we're now double-story and have to contend with stairs for the first time in decades. Honestly, the stick vac is a game changer, no regrets at all, way better than pushing around the old heavy Dyson.
I've been using Amazon for years, never had an issue, but the delivery that was due last Thursday got delayed until today, but still no sign of it and the 'onboard for delivery' status hasn't changed since Thursday afternoon. Amazon sent a text apologising for the delay and if I don't receive it today I can claim a refund tomorrow.
If I do get a refund but then the delivery miraculously turns up, do I get to keep it for free? Like I say, never had this issue before.
Yeah it's toastie time here too, I was going to make it with some really nice free-range leg ham we have in the fridge, but we also have heaps of roast chicken leftover from yesterday's dinner, so better use that up first
Are you impacted by the shortage of some ADHD meds? I'm on 60mg Vyvanse (1 x 40mg + 1 x 20mg) but there's no 40s available anywhere so I'm on 3 x 20s and only have 8 days supply left :0/
We had a 7-hour power outage yesterday afternoon, along with 1500 other homes, all because someone a bit further down the street released a helium-filled metallic balloon which floated up to the power lines and blew them up. All credit to the fire service who arrived quickly to secure the scene, and also to the United Energy crews who turned up with three massive cherry-picker trucks to thread it all back together again.
In better news, Groundhog Day: The Musical was fantastic, highly recommended. It's surpassed Wicked as my favourite theatre musical of all time. The sets, the humour, the cast...just brilliant.
