  • Yep, he is transparent as fuck. He does let the truth out sometime when he brags. I mean, it is mostly lie still, but sometime he let out some true facts to "embellish" the bragging. You can tell when it is the truth because it is the only part of the brag that is absolutely disgusting and revolting. You know, like when he tells you his daughter is so perfect he would have sex with her and stuff like that.

It is like the opposite of what normal people do, which would be embellishing the truth with white lies to make it sounds better.

  • "good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know [...] Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time..."

  • This is what dedicated AP are for, though if it will works sort of depend on distance and line of sight. Maybe you could setup a directional antenna to catch the signal on the other side with an AP or a repeater. You can also buy a bunch of APs and setup a mesh if the distance is not too great.

  • I think this sentiment come from the long history of Microsoft repeatedly breaking and then failing to address antitrust requests. At this point people just assume bas faith.

I remember maybe a decade ago how it seemed a big deal anytime they used their OS monopoly to fuck with 3rd parties alternatives. But yeah, I don't think every popup and annoyance is a crime. There's a fine line they walk to still push their first-party garbage.

  • As I said again and again, trump is simply following the fascist playbook. You have to at least grant it to him, it is virtually the only thing he's good at. Do you know which other very popular democratically elected leader skipped presidential debates a few years ago? It's the guy waging war to Ukraine.

  • You cannot do a whole lot without JS to be honest. My comment was not about Facebook but fingerprinting in general, though I kinda forgot to mention. I suspect finger-tracking strategies are kinda trade secrets so it probably varies. Running a VM still expose your VM settings, which basically let them track your VM around. This is the insidious thing about fingertracking, you can be followed around with spoofed data just as well. The very first time you will login anywhere, whether you use a VM or a VPM everything you touched with those settings will now track back to you.

  • Seems like the opposite to me. Like he was coerced to lie for his old boss due to the circumstances, especially from being dependant from the legal fund. The prosecutor gave him an out and a chance to break fealty from trump. He probably lied because he thought it was the only way out, and his testimony could be valuable after realizing it is not.

You have to realize that this is how criminal organizations work. The members end up being dependant on the leader and they're scared to tell the truth. It is doubly so when you're very own lawyer is being hired by the mob boss. What a messed up system.

  • Crazy how those same people in favor of the ban would be cheering for it if it could turn gay children straight. I mean, they were in favor of parents sending their children to gay conversion therapy even though, which are basically torture camps, even though there is no basis for it in medical science.

Maybe that is why they hate the rest of the country so much, they think we're all hypocrite like them, just a different flavour.

  • The call was ambiguous at the time and they ended up settling out of court. I guess it is only pedantic if you consider that detail to be irrelevant to the broader discussion of air safety. Otherwise, zeroing the fact they didn't follow he TCAS could be considered pedantic.

Only one thing is sure, I am currently being pedantic about the usage of the word pedantic. But really, I think the relevancy of this detail depends on who we're putting the blame on. If it was a human error, then, point remains. If it wasn't, then it ain't just a matter of if the TCAS was followed.

I am aware nowadays this would be considered a human error though, not listening to the TCAS I mean.
