To me, it makes sense because there was initially 2 chances out of 3 for the prize to be in the doors you did not pick. Revealing a door, exclusively on doors you did not pick, does not reset the odds of the whole problem, it is still more likely that the prize is in one of the door you did not pick, and a door was removed from that pool.
Imo, the key element here is that your own door cannot be revealed early, or else changing your choice would not matter, so it is never "tested", and this ultimately make the other door more "vouched" for, statistically, and since you know that the door was more likely to be in the other set to begin with, well, might as well switch!
It is a matter of perspective but center-right generally means some forms of welfare and capitalist regulations are still encouraged for very obvious cases, like anti-monopoly laws and basic healthcare.
What you're describing sounds more like plain right-wing. no welfare programs of any kind, invalidating progressive policies instead of maintaining status quo.
Biden made his whole career about cutting welfare programs and helping big corpos. He has shifted center in his former years, in part because the Democratic party now basically emcompass 75% of the political spectrum, since the GOP is now far-right, and everything left of that has to be absorbed by the democrats.
Biden is making decent compromise, thanks to his legacy with Obama and members of the party like Bernie and AOC, but he is way too moderate to enact the solutions that the country needs, imo.
I don't think this court has ever been sympathetic towards Trump, or even the GOP, in the sense that what they want usually align but they don't really care about Trump. They already rejected the state legislature theory and previous Trump claims. Don't get me wrong, they suck, but their allegiance is not with Trump. They care about OG conservatives values and Christianity values. They're anti liberal, not pro-Trump, if that somehow make sense.
The attack on the capitol was just a small piece of the coup. It was a delay/scare/chaos tactic to use the alternative electoral certificates. There is no doubt or subjective interpretation here, this was a coup attempt, and there is a long trail of evidence due to the many layers of government they had to go through to make it happen.
It is past time caring how the members of this hostile faction are calling and interpreting it. They've been denying their intentions, crimes, and reality for a god-damned long time. They're even denying the weather of the day. You're right, and don't dignify their rebranding with a response, just call it what it is.
I am curious what mecanism would save him from prison at this point. Power should have shielded him from investigations, the DOJ, the FBI, from the indictments going through, from the grand jury indicting him, but here we are. At this point, people usually end up in prison. What if the jury and judge give prison time, what law or mecanism is gonna prevent it? I mean, we know that he could get a pardon, but that is about it.
assuming a perfect mechanical shuffle, I think the odds are near zero. humans don't shuffle perfectly though!
