  • As someone who needs a photo viewer that has some basic editing tools, is digiKam a good tool? I've tried it in the past to mixed results... The UI and UX leaves a lot to be desired, but I do like the fact that it has local face recognition and other interesting features.

Any suggestions for how this could be a part of my use-case?

  • Motion blur in video games doesn't really work for many people. For example, it induces nausea for me. For others, it makes it difficult to identify and analyze a scene properly.

The OP's question asks you why you leave it on. Your answer could very well have ended at "Because I like it", but you chose to read it in bad faith and proceeded to make it about preference bashing, which it's clearly not.

  • I don't, I just try to avoid forming too many opinions about the topic.

The best way to handle most things in life. Do what you want, just always assume you know nothing about a topic.

  • I have two cats. Both sleep on sofas as well as the floor. Cats are the divine incarnate. They can do as they please.

  • Use Thunderbird or the Mailspring app. Or, for WinUI glory, try the WinoMail app.

  • And yet they didn't show us a rectified or accurate graph.

  • TL;DR

    • Google is preparing to have Android open Captive Portal pages in an Android Custom Tab instead of an Android WebView.
    • A Captive Portal is a web page that many public Wi-Fi networks present before they allow your device to connect.
    • By opening these web pages in Android Custom Tabs, they’ll have access to your autofill and session data, making it easier to sign in when needed.
  • Fair enough. But email is the most pervasive example we can use today tbh.

I'm in my mid-20s... I'm the last of the generation of people who know that there's more than just Gmail and Outlook. The fact that Outlook is actually a client as well as a host is something people might not even know today.

  • I did this and he just said, "so it's like email servers, but for more than emails?" I can't believe this is the best way to put it.

  • Lemme know if they found the issue.
