Well, in my honest opinion as a commenter, I'd just like to say that I love discussions. What I tend to not enjoy is replying to the 1500 different people who replied to my post with valid takes, requiring me to read, understand and reply appropriately to all of them.
I hate to side with ElMo, but didn't that happen because they kick started the EV car wave?
And apparently their solution was also the better option, or something to that effect.
I recently finished playing Deliver Us Mars.
I'm happy with it for the most part, but it only reinforced my suspicion that Unreal Engine games are not being optimised well enough 🫠
In case anyone wishes to know what I thought of the game:
The story is fine. It feels like so many problems would be solved with a simple conversation and characters make decisions impulsively. The voice acting is spectacular, and the background music, while not cinematic by any stretch of the imagination, was definitely really good for setting the mood.
Idk about 2FA, but updating friends and family is insanely easy on most messaging platforms. I can update my phone number and then WhatsApp or Telegram will prompt those who chat with me that I've changed my number and they can switch to that number for chatting.
WhatsApp:
Notice received when the number is changed on WhatsApp:
Telegram:
As for contacting businesses, this seems like a personal situation, since I contact companies via the above messaging apps. So they will receive a notification about my updated number.
I'll verify if this is optional, so we can choose if people get that notice...
Edit:
You can't specify who gets informed. If you've blocked someone, they will not get that notification.
I've also added images above to demonstrate how it works on the two platforms I mentioned.
My dad got me that game on his old laptop when I was a kid. It barely ran, but boy was it exciting ❤️.
The Plasma gun was my favourite 🫡. Especially in that space level... The one where you could jump outside the windows.
I have a bone to pick with Epic regarding Unreal Engine as well. Terrible optimisation. Any game I play, if made using UE, is terrible.
I've played the first two of the Tomb Raider trilogy on medium on my 4GB GTX 1650, i7 9th Gen, 16GB RAM laptop. This device has pushed me through my engineering and still continues to run most of my work. It also runs Forza Horizon 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 good enough.
Yet I install Deliver Us Mars, a game with a much smaller scale, and my beautiful beast starts to stutter. 🫠🫠🫠
