Its not a choice, but more a test for basic cognitive function. One which republicans routinely fail.

Conservatives never have facts and reason on their side, so they just drop them and stop caring for reality.

Speaking the truth and being right-wing are always mutually exclusive!

He makes a logical argument with sound reasoning, logical conclusions and a definitive solution. The facts are clear and there is no ambiguity.

No wonder they dont understand, because its not the immigrants, trans- or black-people at fault here.

Fitting how the average republican consistently behaves exactly like a person suffering from lead-poisoning...

Her vibe alternates between:

• condescending mom scolding her children for asking what gay means or why god tolerates evil in the world if she were real
• "please dont hit me again, I was wrong as always in questioning you my sweet loving husband"
• You should all be afraid because the West is falling, again, for real this time, pinky promise, I swear on my dead mothers grave

Queue the pavlovian response from the average republican voter, like a dead frog poked with an electric prod.

As with so much of what happens at X, there is significant confusion about the policy as the company’s rules seem to change based on the whims of Musk rather than a considered process.

Here is what I assume happend:

Elon, desperate for approval from his "fans" personally changed this, because almost all the people left on twitter that engage with him are "right-wingers". And they dont want to be held accountable for being vile garbage.

And so they, like the most fragile of snowflakes, started to whine about having to follow basic rules of human decency for once in their online existence, making them deeply uncomfortable.

And Elon followed suit, because these are the only people he has left now. People who exploit him for his position and clout, just as he exploits them for small ammounts of dopamine, when they applaud him for making the worls worse again.

I work in IT, there the situation for corpos who want to force RTO is just a nightmare.

There are a bunch of companies waiting with open arms and better contracts to gather these disgruntled workes with knowledge in the industry. So not only do you loose a lot, your competition grows stronger at the same time.

On top of that, if you dont need to rent a huge building at high price, massively cutting costs on overhead an maintenance.

And once the bleeding starts its hard to stop: Others need to pick up more work, get pissed and then also leave for greener pastures.

All because you are stuck in the past.

In my defense:

I am not very smart

One of the more honest arguments I have seen about RTO:

The company has rented an important building for operations.

That building is prime real-estate, which is now loosing value, because no one is using it and no one wants to buy it.

Since that can get very expensive, forcing use of the building to keep the investment stable makes sense on paper.

Result: Workers are forced back into office, to everyones detremend. Just because some guys asset is loosing value and now everyone else has to suffer because of it.

Because every accusation IS a confession.
