For a time now I heard that the UK is a dying empire, desperatly clinging on to a version long gone and being stuck in the past.
In wake of recent anti-trans legislation, Brexit, migration-panics and general declining lifestile, I tend to agree with the statement. The UK is falling behind rapidly, but instead of combating that with progressive policy, the embrace of conservtaive ideas like this will just accelerate the decay.
I just hope Scotland and northern Ireland can get out before its too late.
For years it has shown the way on how to deal with these things, just look at statistics, measurable tests and their results.
But conservatives, who again just hate other humans for being living proof that their antics need to finally die out. Your queer existence is a danger to their paper-thin ego, so you need to die. Because being wrong is just not an option to them.
To say that research failed is simply wrong and always has been.
By sheer statistical coincidence, something has to stick eventually. Maybe its this one at last.

The RNC is dumping so much money on Trumps legal fees and expenses, that running an actual campaign becomes more and more impossible.
I dont remember the source right now, but I read that large parts of the RNC at the state-level are already practically bankrupt. If thats true, then we might have an even weaker GOP in the comming years.
Turns out if everyone is just grifting, you cant build anything in the long run. I hope their efforts are crippled for a very long time. At best they never recover.

They are also not pro-life, because no conservative cares for people other then themselves. And maybe their unhappy wifes and children, on a lucky day.
But when their family will be ruined by an unplanned child, they are the first in line to beg for what they routinely deny others in need. Its selfish, unjust and inhuman. So pro-life they kill you.

While you could might be correct on paper, the reality is that between "Helping prevent Genocide" and "Anything else" is much clearer.

Maybe the Ukrain Goverment has a problem with corruption, hell I agree it probably does. Every Government has to deal with this.

A lot of conservative politicians and our far-right parties wantes this to be canned and instead asked for a more restrictive policy.
The CSU (Bavarias special version of the CDU) already founded a dedicated new ministery for "extremly restrictive interpretation of the new laws". Thats how bad the f***ing right-wingers are about this progreasive approach! Im to tired to search for the source on that right now, if someone else could to that, I would greatly appreciate it.
Its still hard to believe. Even now it feels very surreal that, within a few days, the technically still existent damocles-sword of illegallity will be gone. This whole law was passed around, rewritten, ammended and changed so often, many thought it would never even pass within our lifetimes, if at all.
Even today, there was so much interest and tension in this thing, the streaming-server broadcasting the vote just cracked under the storm of viewers wanting to see how this would go down.
Thanks to all the people who tirelessly pushed for this. Your work made this happen and you deserve all the praise in the world for it. I hope we can archive more things like this in the comming future.
Usually we Germans are very hesitant to be proud of our country, for very obvious hystorical reasons. But I feel we can make an exception for this one.
