Do it. I did and never regretted it. I don't know anyone who has. And you aren't locked in like you think. It's really easy to convert everything over.
It's was like 2013 for me. I think it was when they fudged with the time lines so that you weren't seeing things chronologically but how the algorithm wanted you to see it.
I had a very decent account at the time too. Couple thousand followers (before the bot accounts started getting super bad) and like 30k tweets.
I still have an account, but I literally only use to to tweet stories to one podcast.
Guy across the street spent the weekend putting up Halloween decorations with his daughter. We can this guy "Heavy metal dad" because year round he displays pentagram flags, and wears heavy metal band shirts with the sleeves cut off all year. It's great.
Recently lost a manager. Actually, his boss got removed as well. It was like having two Christmases in two weeks. Now our shop and department operate much smoother and happier.
My manager never should have been hired. When I was informed they got the job I thought it was a joke. But I tried to help get the guy on his feet and make him a success, but he just didn't have the brainpan for the job. It was beyond obvious. By the end, he was having constant outbursts, telling everyone to eat his dick, getting successive suspensions, blatantly lying to HR when there was irrefutable evidence against his statements.
When he put his two weeks in, he told some people that he might not leave. I told him I was making it my mission to ensure that he doesn't not walk out that door. Thankfully, he left. But, both he and his girlfriend have reapplied to an entry level position that has opened up do to someone (the person who should have been hired in the first place but because our director wanted a person he could push around in place) being promoted into his position. He was never a good worker in the first place, and his girlfriend was even worse.
Let me tell you, 10 year old me in catholic school really thought he was on to some comedy gold when he realized this day and daily was some confusing shit.
Nobody ever laughed. Turned out, I'm not really funny.
I wear 3m work tunes with gel cushions while working outside year round. They are generally under $70 and I don't notice any significant hest issues around my ears, and that's even when it's 100 degrees outside.
As an edgelord child, I get it. But doing it, being reprimanded about it, and doing it again, ain't no jumping to conclusions on this one. He was doing it on purpose.
Back in the day, I was stationed in South Korea when I was 18/19 years old. While it was legal for Koreans to drink by 18, US soldiers were expected to wait until they were 21. Soldiers 21 and over got ration cards in order to buy alcohol from the post's shoppettes. I was never 21 in Korea, so I never got one.
One day the Criminal Investigation Division shows up and starts asking around about me. Sure I guess I was technically drinking underage on base, but I was legal once I left. And I hadn't done anything else shady or dodgy, so I was getting a little concerned.
Turned out, I was being accused of buying liquor on base for cheap and then selling it to Koreans for profit because a bottle of real Jack Daniels was like $200 whereas I could have bought it for $20.
I told them that I couldn't have bought it because I don't have a ration card for alcohol. They didn't believe me, but somehow it got cleared up down the road because I never heard another word about it. And I doubt it was mistaken identity because my height kinda precludes me from being misidentified, and the only other guy on the base that looked even remotely like me never got in trouble either and he was never questioned in the first place.
Lagavulin really is that good.
