  • Oh yeah, I'm realizing this late but I've got a feeling you might like twists on the magical girl genre like Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku. Puella Magi Madoka Magica was among the first and is all a fan favourite, but it's not the one I like the most.

  • Mangaka. Author.

Akagi is a mahjong manga. It assumes you know mahjong from the beginning. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really like the game. I barely made it 6 pages into the manga after someone gifted me a volume for Japanese practice.

  • If you want to see a lighter take on gambling, maybe Kakegurui or No Game No Life.

If you want death game stuff, maybe Btooom!. Mirai Nikki is also a classic in the same vein. Much more over the top would be the Fate series (Fate Stay Night, Fate Unlimited Blade Works, Fate Zero, etc.) Much less intense but still enjoyable was Death Parade. And we're getting pretty far from the theme but theoretically Sword Art Online checks the death game box; reviled by true connoisseurs 🍷, I still think it's plenty enjoyable if you don't think about it too deeply.

If you're looking for something in the "psychological" category, I can recommend Psycho-Pass for something serious with action, Oshi no ko for something serious with drama ,or Kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai! for a lighter take.

  • Losing consciousness. I went to get by blood drawn for the doctor and for some reason I got nervous or something, and I lost consciousness for just a minute or two.

I woke up as if I had just slept for 30 hours, more rested than I've ever been, no matter how long I sleep.

  • I've read it.

Yes. Very unprofessional that the contacts in private ended up the way they did.

Also unprofessional that Linus thought Steve was ignoring him when he was just texting the wrong number.

But those sound a lot more like incompetence than malice to me. A lot of the story is things that could've been solved with better communication.

The "scale of blame" definitively sounds like it's tilted towards LMG. But I don't really care about that right now. What I care about is that I really hope they talk for real instead of trying and failing to understand each other by text/email and then involving the audience in their fight by taking it public.

I want them to talk like adults, and I want to stop feeling like I'm being made to watch a children's quarrel.

  • Man, these people need to sit down and have a proper talk. It's embarassing that they've been fighting in public for so long. A lot of that sounds like simple communication breakdowns, even.

Every goddamn time there's a new step in these conflicts, my opinion of everyone involved tumbles.

  • There are various attempts at categorizing ADHD, of various levels of scientific credibility.

The one I hear most often are "predominantly inattentive" and "predominantly hyperactive".

There are also quack psychology tests that break it down into basically zodiac signs.

Such distinctions can have their uses for clearer diagnostic pictures or educating people who need to handle others' ADHDs, but they're not nearly as important as they are in diabetes. They're arbitrary and they don't completely change the mechanism of the condition, as far as we're aware. It just doesn't affect much.

In short, there aren't really formal distinctions because it wouldn't be very practically useful to have them, and because it would be hard to agree on universal types.
